We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean, the buffet was very fresh and included many traditional dishes and good salads. The staff reacted quickly and was very helpful. The nearby beach is not so good, especially not for children, better to take a bus or cab to some of the sandy beaches. We went to the beach in... More

I stayed here in August 2013 with my partner and his daughter who is 12. I know the area well as my parents lived in the area for nearly 10 years. The hotel staff were lovely and the food which is buffet style but fresh and with lots of seafood and variety, there's local breads, soup, fish chicken, moussaka and... More

First off, I can't compare Alkion with other Cretan hotels as this is the only one I was in. However, after reading reviews of other hotels here on tripadvisor, I think it deserves 3 or 4 stars. I. Things I didn't like -------------------------- - Dog from the neighbourhood barking on hotel guests. This only applies to the western side of... More

This hotel has one major flaw - it is located between 2 roads. One is the biggest higway in Crete (they call it national highway) and second one is the old road which was used before highway was built. Long story short - it is noisy. Higway can be heard 24/7 and the smaller road during daylight only. Highway is... More

yes the hotel seem to be an old one, but it was a nice surprise for us - big rooms, big balcony (our with side sea vie), very nice public areas - clean pool, nice poolside area and restaurant, very nice staff. And the BIG PLUS - the food. It was tastly and various (we were HB and the breakfast... More

It is a modest hotel with big rooms including cuisine and a normal balcony. I could say it was clean but obviously not well maintained. The photos on the site must be taken long time ago.The food of the restaurant was modest too. My opinion is that is a modest hotel for low budget vacations (about 35€ per night).

..... but they shold really make some changes at this hotel! The "all-inclucive" was absolutly not "all".... and they had changed the periods for different things when we came. The food was allright - not fantastic, bud we were never hungry. They should make som e more real Greek foods..... thats what we want to eat in Greece. The personel... More

We are a young danish couple who just went home from a fantastic week at this hotel. We had all inclusive. ... But right after we booked our stay at Alkyon Park Village I viewed this page, and unfortunately I got disapointed! The pictures were looking bad and especially the comments from earlier guests scarred me, so suddenly my expectations... More

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon at this hotel.Yes the hotel wasn't the most pretty decorated we've ever seen, but again, it isn't either the most expensive we've stayed at. But the room had everything we needed and the room was big and had a nice big balcony. The staff was very helpfull and nice. We even got some... More

After booking our trip, I decided to read some reviews about this hotel, mostly they were negative. This made me expect the worst of worst, but I was glad to see that it wasn't that bad at all. This hotel however has three major downsides: The pool is way to small. Already at breakfast almost all seats are taken. The... More
