We stayed at the Civitas after booking a holiday with Thomas Cook in the UK. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On the surface our room, one of the renovated rooms, appeared to be very nice but the longer we spent in the hotel the more problems and issues we found. Our room was number 5;... More

We booked to go here as our summer holiday back in March with Thomas Cook. We were due to fly out 19th August. At the start of August I got a call from Thomas Cook saying the hotel was not fit for service. That was the last bit of good customer service they did. They promised us loads of amazing... More

I just have to say, after spending a few nights here- this i a very nice place. Beautiful rooms, and extremely good location. Nice breakfast with freshly made juice, toast and omelettes made for us. This is a small hotel, and they are also running a resturant just outside the hotel. Therefore, they sometime have to run between functions. But... More

We arrived her on Friday night and it is now Sunday. We have a lovely room, on 2 levels (I am aware that other rooms are not anywhere near as good.). I just wanted to say that we are having a great trip so far, and I will keep the review updated. Just to allay the fears of anyone heading... More

What a nightmare.I cried all night. Our friends husband had to climb out of the window to unlock their door. The rooms that are shown when spoken... More

Fourteen night holiday in June. Location excellent,we are pleased we upgraded the room as other rooms seemed substandard. The room was not cleaned at weekends and poorly cleaned rest of time with damp towels not always changed. No bar, no roof garden no outside facilities as advertised. DO NOT GO ON FULL BOARD BASIS as food was appalling left overs... More

We would not recommend this hotel. The hotel’s own website is simply inaccurate. There was no bar or garden area as advertised and not all rooms are of the same standard. The evening meals were of a poor standard. The choice was both basic and limited and the meal was either made that morning or the day before and simply... More

The hotel is located directly opposite the bay and is 5 mins walk from the old Venetian town and port. It is beautifully decorated, interesting and very creative in its lay out. Unfortunately the catering was very poor. They don't keep a wine cellar and offer only one wine label which is awful. The food is mass produced and reheated.... More
