I stayed at the Mistral from 2nd-9th June 2009, and was collected from the airport along with several other guests; enabling us to get to know each other on the way. The Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Maleme and is situated in a fairly quiet situation. It is smart and modern with lovely dining and seating areas, both... more

I know from the moment I arrived in Crete, that my vacation would be amazing. The owner picked me up from the hotel and brought me back to his small family run hotel in Malame. The hotel was small but charming. My room was not a room at the Ritz but very comfortable with it's own bathroom and balcony. There... more

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago - great bunch of ladies, and a couple of guys in the really great company. I had written to the hotel before to booking as I am vegetarian to ask if vegetarian food would be available. I was assured it would be, but it wasn't and the food in general was... more

I spent two amazing weeks at the Mistral from 26 August to 9 September 2008 and had the best holiday I can remember. I can only conclude that the people who have written negative reviews just went to a different place or just enjoy moaning! I would encourage potential visitors to visit the hotel's own website and read the numerous... more

I have just come back from a delightful two weeks at the Mistral Hotel in Maleme in Crete. This was my eighth visit and normally I spend two weeks in May and September relaxing or taking part in the numerous activities provided by the hotel. It is a family owned hotel and the staff and Vassilis the owner cannot do... more

If you are single and looking for an exclusive relaxing holiday with numerous trips and things to see then look no further. It is all things considered an inexpensive experience with a very safe relaxed atmosphere run smoothy by Vassilis, his family and the top rate and very helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble if you have any special... more

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Mistral, Crete. I was lucky to meet some great people. There are many very good reviews on the forum and although I agree with the positive points, there were some negative points which I am surprised are not highlighted that often. I don't think I'm being pedantic as many... more

I can say it is the first time I choose a hotel based on tripadisor 's reviews and I am disappointed. The staff was mostly rude, the girl in the reception was never saying good morning to us. The breakfast was basic, with the same cake everyday, some bread, jam, eggs and cheese, if you consider the variety of food... more

Mistral is a real mixture of excellence and cliques. The hotel, rooms, food, ambience and staff are all superb. However, returning guests who have prearranged to holiday together can exclude other guests, no matter how hard they try. I have not experienced this on other singles holidays. If you are lucky to hit a week when guests are keen to integrate... more

The Mistral Hotel,(www.singlesincrete.com) everything it says on the website and lots more. I must be honest i never dreamt i would have to go on a singles holiday but being well travelled i was never going to let being widowed stop me from going away to pastures new, the hard bit was having to go away alone. Then i found... more
