I was one of four Americans and 26 Brits. The rooms were lovely, the food abundant and the company full of fun and friendliness. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable and very available to help or inform a guest. I was envious of those who were staying another week. I so enjoyed my fellow travelers and our fantastic family style meals... More

You are never neglected at the Mistral. A dedicated team will see that you are well looked after. As everyone is single it is easy to make friends. Arriving tired and in need of a holiday you will not recognise yourself after 24 hours in the sun, having experienced Cretan hospitality at its best. You will be introduced to the... More

Wow - my third trip to Mistral in just over a year and I very much doubt it will be my last - I love travel and rarely go back to the same place twice... But Mistral is worth making an exception for so here I am just back from the walking week, with a few extra chilling days. Mistral... More

I have just returned home following my 4th stay at the Mistral hotel. This family run establishment makes everyone feel like guests in a private luxury home. The food is Greek and exciting, the organised activities offer alternatives to meet everyone's tastes, and the whole experience is an adventure as you get to know the other guests. I have already... First time at the Mistral, I enjoyed it immensely. My room, at the front, was excellent, no noise worries at all. The staff were always welcoming and efficient. The food was a revelation, many many courses at each meal and all delicious, the chef is very special. Wonderful weather and a big thankyou to all (including my fellow guests) who... More

This was my second visit to the Mistral and yet again it was absolutely wonderful. This was a 'walking week' which was brilliant. Having a very knowledgeable guide makes such a huge difference to trying to find your own way round. The rooms and food are fantastic and the staff cannot do enough to make your visit a memorable one.... More

My review is long-overdue....I stayed at the Mistral end of Sept for 2 weeks and though had intended on writing a review immediately upon my return, as per usual, got busy back at work and the time has just slipped away! I'm a "repeat" guest; it was my 4th visit and whilst I love the Mistral experience, I can understand... More

This was my first visit to the Mistral Hotel and my first solo holiday since my younger son left the nest this summer. I needn't have worried: everyone at the Mistral was so welcoming and you immediately felt part of one big, happy family. Many of the guests had been before, so there was usually someone to point you in... More

An additional private excursion to the Botanical Gardens was organised when a few guests expressed an interest. This is the sort of service that sets the Mistral apart. This is a hotel for the independent traveller, not a dating agency, though you are sure to meet interesting people.
