I am motivated to write a review after I received, in the mail, the raincoat that I had left there, and called about--the host Andreas was so kind not only in person but also after I left, since he mailed the (expensive) raincoat all the way to North America after I phoned. He and his wife were extremely gracious, enthusiastic,... More

A hotel that reminded me of the good old days when tourist accommodation providers in Greece felt like friends who opened their place for you, and you were a visitor, not just a customer. It also proved an excellent venue for a workshop of about 40 people and Andreas, the owner, was always there to deal with emergencies and cater... More

We stayed at the Eden Rock when attending a group workshop in the cooler weather of late October 2014. There were around 40+ of us staying at the hotel and we were all extremely well looked after. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the food was very good and generous in quantity. The pool looked like it would be... More

We booked in on a last minute holiday deal. We were expecting to be disappointed, but it way exceeded our expectations. Food is excellent and plentiful. Every day a huge selection of different dishes to try. Pool is superb--large and clean. Kind friendly staff. Lovely location. It is well worth hiring a Jeep to explore the mountain villages in the... I stayed at Eden Rock hotel for one week , this is a family run business the owner was lovely and very accommodating . The room was basic but very clean and we had our towels and sheets changed everyday. I noticed previous reviews have said about cockroaches I never saw one , some small insects in the bathroom at... Truly terrible, and I'm used to authentic Greek standards. In serious need of refurbishment, nothing has been done since the 70's. Everything is tatty, broken or just done badly and cheaply to begin with. Our room had: no shower curtain, no hot water, cracked sink, walls and floor, the doors didn't shut and lock properly, we had one cheap plastic... More

This IS a two star hotel, do not think you will have four star rooms. That being said, this was a great hotel in many aspects. The staff, most spoke German and English, were so friendly and helpful, not just about their service but any questions you may have about the surrounding area and places to go see. Andreas, the... Hotel is dirty. Centipedes crawling on the walls, floors, ceilings. You have to ask for sheets to be changed, & clean towels for your room. You ask for something to be fixed & the answer is tomorrow! Tomorrow never comes. Cockroaches beside & in the pool. Place smells like a sewage works that's when you know your there! Food is... More

We traveled as two female students looking for a nice hotel at the Cretan beach for 1 week and reasonable price, where we could relax, sunbath and take a few trips to the surroundings. We found it in Andreas´ hotel near Ierapetra. It is not the newest hotel but the rooms were all clean, the staff was very forthcoming and... More
