I was lucky enough to stay at Combe Lancey over the weekend whilst attending a wedding in Copplestone with my girlfriend and 3 other friends. The first night two of us stayed in the twin room, afterwhich we were joined by the rest of our group on Saturday, split across a double and twin with an extra bed. Frederiek was... More

I have been staying here weekly for the past few months while on business. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with maps and directions for local walking. The breakfasts are very good and as a vegetarian well catered for. The rooms are well furnished, warm and comfortable.

My husband Richard and I stayed here during his walk from Lands End to John O'Groats . Our room was spotless, comfy and spacious. Full English breakfast was delicious and the apple juice from the orchard was amazing. Fredereik really looked after us; going to the trouble of giving us a frozen gel pack to sooth his swollen ankle. When... More

What a wonderful place. We were really looked after. Everything had been thought of with regard to the comfort of their guests. It wasn't difficult to find with the instructions given and was well worth the effort. We, my wife and I, acted on the recommendations of our relatives who have since returned and we will be doing likewise in... More

I have been meaning to put pen to paper for a while, since the completion of our LEJOG trip mid July. This was one of our favourite of the 15 B&B's on our trip. The accommodation is second to none, and the property is magnificent. We were made very welcome, shown to our beautiful rooms. The boys, after a hard... More

Stayed for one night here on my way down to Cornwall. Wonderful setting, very quiet and steeped in history. Large rooms in a barn conversion set in formal gardens and cobblestones. Good cooked breakfast accompanied with selection of fresh cut fruit and locally pressed apple juice. The track getting in is pretty tight and from one direction has a strip... More

Our hostess Frederiek was so welcoming and made you feel very special. The thatched manor house and gardens are wonderful. The guest accommodation is in the converted barn attached to the house. There is at present just two rooms a double and twin which we stayed in, however they do have capacity for extra beds. Our room was large light and... More

Set in acres of rolling Devon fields, this is a real beauty. A converted barn comprises the accommodation which is spacious and comfortable - most comfy bed - I want to buy it and take it home. Breakfast is fresh and wholesome - keeps you going for the day. A couple of pubs in the village - recommend The Lamb... More
