The reviewers who wrote that this is a good basic hotel in a good location in Heralkion were spot-on. I took heed of their reviews, and my experience was excellent. Hotel Lena is a perfect basic hotel and the location could not be better for getting everywhere a visitor wants to go here. The staff is extremely welcoming, helpful, and... More

Very good location in a fairly quiet area but walkable distance to the centre of town and main bus terminal. The room we stayed in was very simple but clean. If you are travelling on a budget and need somewhere central to stay then Lena is a good option.

This hotel provides all that is needed for an overnight stay. It is on a quiet side street, somewhat difficult to find on arrival, but OK once one has worked out the relationship to other streets. It is clean, the rooms are adequate in size with good en-suites and the staff speak adequate English. A bakery and cafes are nearby... More

Excellent wifi, comfortable rooms with fan, helpful staff, very small bathrooms, quiet but in central location (walking distance to main attractions and the port), breakfast is 8 EUR and has to be ordered the day before (a bit confusing)

We were looking for the hotel for one night to wait for the ferry. Hotel Lena is good place for it. It's clean, it's cheap, it's closed to the center and to the port too. We had a family room (4 persons). The room was well divided with big shower, TV, Air-cond and a little bit squeaking ventilator. The hotel is... More

We were in on one ferry and going out of town the next day, so it was okay, but if you plan to stay in town for a while, this may not be a great place for you. It is in the centre of the city and when the taxi driver stopped the car and pointed down the road, it... More

Located on the city centre, we got 15 €/night rate in this clean, very comfortable hotel. The only drawback was that the shower didn't get to a high pressure and though it was difficult to shower. Other than that I would say it was quite a good place.

Stayed room with 3 beads. We can enjoy hot shower(but control of temperature was difficult), TV, air conditioner and simple, clean room. Hotel Lena was in back alley near main streat of Heraklion. It was a little scary place for girls at nitght, but very good place to walk around Heraklion. Reception staff was also kind and nice people.

I'm a solo backpacker and didn't expect the hostel to be so nice. I got here in January at 7pm one night and easily got one single room for 30€. I chose this hostel just because it's located near the town centre and 5 minutes away from the shore. To my amazement, my room was extremely clean and colorful, in... More

Hotel Lena is a nice little hotel not too far from the airport and within walking distance of the National Archaeological Museum. The rooms are basic, but surprisingly spacious, although the beds are rather hard. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh cakes, boiled eggs, hot drinks, etc. all made on demand. For a night or two in Heraklion, this was exactly... More
