We stayed at Marin Dream for a night, and it was a very very pleasant stay. For once, this hotel has big bathrooms and shower areas (we had encountered small shower areas in the rest of the hotels in Greece :-) ), and the hotel was a 5-star, clearly. It was close to the ferry station, so we could continue... More

The hotel is very nice. The people who work there are excellent, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. We had a great view of the harbor. The location is very convenient. Good choice for your stay in Heraklion.

Excellent, basic choice if arriving by ferry and overnighting in the city. We considered taking a taxi from the dock (driver quoted 5 euros) but then we spied the hotel sign atop its building. A bit of a walk, maybe 10 minutes, but was navigable even with rollable luggage. Staff very friendly. Room fine. Get one with a harbor view... More

This hotel was excellent! It is near to the port, bus terminal and the city center, very easy to find. The staffs were very kind and the breakfast was wonderful. This hotel understands what the tourists want.

This is listed as a business hotel. It is generally comfortable and well situated, but it is a little weird. Our room was clean but tiny. The rooms had been recently updated, but the furniture was a bit worse for wear and the new wood floors were not holding up well in places like by the bathroom. For us, it... More

Staff were excellent: helpful and efficient. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and of course it has the best view in the hotel: of the old harbor. There was a large selection of different foods: fresh and whole fruits, coffees & teas, milk, cereals, ingredients for a Greek salad (diced tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, olive oil, oregano), various Greek savoury biscuits... We stayed here one night having arrived late evening. Excellent central location for seeing Heraklion or catching a bus or ferry. Airport is about 15 mins by taxi and cost 10 Euros. Room was pretty basic with the smallest shower we have ever used. Certainly no way of two people getting aquainted in it! On the plus side the view... More

We stayed overnight after a late night flight. Room pleasantly furnished though we found the beds a little on the hard side. Staff very friendly; good service and wide range of breakfast goods. Lovely view from the restaurant. We have stayed here before and would book again.

A mid-range hotel with a mix of pros and cons. On the positive side, the breakfast (included in the room rate) is a delightful and abundant spread with everything from local fresh baked rolls to hot plates of grilled vegetables and crepes. The sea view rooms look out at the Venetian harbor, with large glass doors opening onto the balconies.... More

Was there two nights. The service was decent, nothing special. Bathrooms in the rooms are in serious need of cleaning. The rooms bordered on sketchy. The location was easy to get to, close to the city center. Neighborhood was ok. The rooftop restaurant was not very good. View of the harbor was nice, but nothing to write home about.
