Our staying in the particular hotel was very good. The staff was friendly and willing to help. The room was simple and beautiful and the sheets were clean. Generally there were signs of dirt both in the bathroom and the room and I think that a renovation would be a good idea. The area around the hotel is not that... More

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The room I had was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really amazing, with a large selection of hot foods to choose from on the menu that are cooked as you order them and for €6 per day, it really is fantastic value for money. I would definitely... More

The room is a good size and electrical appliances work by plugging in the room key. There is an air conditioning split unit for heating and cooling. My room had not much if a view, but I did not mind as I did not spend a lot of time in it. The price per night was very reasonable. Breakfast is... More

It's only a 15 minute walk to the main town center, we found it provided value for money. Basic accommodation, nothing fancy. Rooms appeared clean, beds were o.k. We had a balcony overlooking the street, happy that the doors were double glazed as we hardly heard any noise during the night, however when we opened them in the morning, the... More

We stayed in Castello City for 3 nights, during or trip to Crete. When we first checked in, we were pretty disappointed with the room they set us in, because its only balcony was directed towards the middle of the building, an ugly view that consisted in a wall and a series of AC exhaust machines. We asked Maria, the... More

we spend 3 days at Castello and other than the fact that its location is good an the staff were kind can´t think of other positive points. Rooms look old, the one we had had a view of a wall and it was dark. It´s cheap but our next time in Heraclion we´ll try another hotel for sure

I had a great time in Heraklion, and the Castello City Hotel was a decent choice to stay at. The bed was hard, but the Wi-Fi was good. The rooms were complete, though the shower was small. Finally it is close to a major intersection, but a 15 minute walk from the downtown core. The highlight was the restaurant- the... More

Very good hotel, close enough to downtown and with a very nice bar which offers a welcome drink. Rooms are a bit small, but nice and clean. Breakfast is also very good. Highlight: Giannis, the bartender, just AWESOME!

Great hotel, on walking distance from the citycenter but also shops, restaurants, etc. just around the corner. Very nice room with enough space for 3 people and good reception of free WiFi. Excellent service from the friendly staff. On the fifth floor is a bar (reasonable prices) with a beautiful view from the rooftop. Here is also the restaurant where... More
