I spent three nights at this country hotel located just below the Rouvas gorge and thought it was fab. It's not fancy - the rooms are a little dated - but it has a great pool and garden and loads of facilities from tennis court to onsite fish farm (!) Best of all, it was very well-priced.

On the slopes of Mount Psiloritis, Idi Hotel really has the most beautiful location one could hope for. The village of Zaros, a short distance of which the hotel is situated, is famous for its water. Whereas anywhere else on the island chloric is added to the tap water, the water in this village, and thus also in the hotel,... More

I had booked a full week here, based upon reviews and very affordable offer at only €20 pr night - breakfast included! The hotel is absolutely top-quality for a twostar hotel: Perfectly maintained, wellkept gardens and pool, native/simple rooms but spotlessly clean, aircon worked, lots of towels, decent breakfast (although not thrilling...). Its...NICE! The problem remains: It is really far... More

We spend a few days there on a business trip. The rooms were clean and nice, but the beds were small. The breakfast was poor. The swimming pool was not clean. The location of the hotel was very nice. there was no lift to our rooms and we had to carry our luggage by ourselves.

Had to stay in Zaros for 3 night and fund this hotel just perfect. Hotel is situate at 5 min walk from the best view of Zaros and also close from the centre. This hotel is the most peaceful hotel I never been. Very good entrance with a clean and space swimming pool, with full of deck chairs. Staff and... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Idi hotel in Zaros and prepared for a mediocre hotel. We were pleasantly surprised though. The room was spacious and clean, every day our room was cleaned. Most of the staff was friendly, others were a bit indifferent. The breakfast was a bit dissapointing, with not much choice and every day the same... More

The hotel is 50 km from heraklion airport. It is not new(some rooms are old, ask for the new or refurbished ones) but the ambiance is very nice and big. A big swimming pool fits nice in the mountain. It is quite near to faistos museum, so there is also archeological interest. The big surprise is the trout breeding place,... More

Very good environment, excellent food and very nice people!!! The perfect place to relax and have as a starting point for daily trips!! The area has some great beaches and very nice places to visit, or if you want you can stay at the hotel by the swimming pool. A veru friendly place if you have kids.

Service was excellent. Breakfast was very good and the hotels taverna offered a very good dinner with trout from their own aquacultur. Rooms were tiny and an even tinier bathroom. Very hard beds (Greek beds are often firm, but these were on the even harder kind). Free wi-fi with connection in reception only. No cleaning during our 2 day stay.... More

The main hotel and two blocks of 'bungalows' are set in lovely, spacious and lush gardens. We were were in one of the bungalow rooms - nice, wooden panelled with a little private terrace. The place is very peaceful (except maybe if you're in the main building during a wedding reception at the tavern), with lovely views of the Idean... More
