Although we were the only guests there at check-in, the front desk couldn't be bothered to help us with either a recommendation for a nearby restaurant or information about local transportation to Knossos. I have to say that the room itself was ok. The problem was that the bar across the road was VERY noisey. It didn't help that the FIA final was playing but after walking 14km through the Samaria Gorge we needed our sleep! The bathroom was clean as was the rest of the room. The Galaxy Hotel was absolutely beautiful and had the friendliest staff of any hotel I've ever stayed in. They made us feel very welcome and at home.
