This hotel was perfect for a stop over after the ferry from Athens. It is situated right by the Venetian harbour. It is well worth getting a room with this view as the sunset was beautiful and extremely romantic. We had dinner on the balcony overlooking the harbour. A memorable evening. I stayed 6 days for a business trip. The hotel is convenient to shopping and the harbor. It is impossible to jog in the city, but a 5 minute walk brings you to the traffic-free seawall, which stretches about a mile. While not a particularly spacious hotel, Lato provides good accomodation in a great location. Staff were helpful and gave some good local information. Breakfast room is cramped. more

When you're inside the room, Lato Boutique is not a boutique hotel, but a rather old hotel with some attempts to get modern. The staff were not friendly or very helpful-in fact, quite snooty to us. The bathrooms are a decent size, but the decor is very old and it had a weird smell. The restaurant above is not bad. more

We've stayed at the Lato a number of times and have always found it to be an enjoyable experience. Staff are helpful, rooms clean and the breakfast is super! Located down near the harbour, it's excellent for exploring the city with the Archaeological museum, Morosini fountain and the main shopping area all withing easy walking distance. more
