We were on a 3 week, small group tour with Adventures Abroad. We stayed here one night. The room was large, nicely furnished, bathroom elegant. Our room faced the street, our only complaint was the noise from the busy street. The hotel was ideally located. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel was very welcoming while the group waited in... more

When booking online, we made a note requesting a room with an outside view and large balcony, and the hotel obliged. Our room faced the main square outside, which meant it was noisy all the time, but we didn't mind. We enjoyed soaking up the sun on the balcony and watching the people below. Some of the rooms face a... more

We stayed at the Astoria Capsis for 6 nights. Could not fault the location nor our room - very modern and clean. The satff extremely helpful. The only downside is the pool and the terrace which do with a refurbishment. Even though we had temperatures in the high 30's the pool water was very cold and could do with some... more

we chose astoria capsis due to its location. It is on the main town square, giving us the opportunity to walk around the town. Well sized room, really clean, and a breakfast above average for greek city hotels of this category. The truth is that it worths every penny ( prices around 100 euro inc breakfast). It is in my... more

I've stayed here twice now. Excellent both times. The central location is great, but the most attractive aspect for me is the room decor, which is astonishingly stylish, yet functional. Superb bathrooms with two shower options -- overhead rain-style or fully adjustable sprayer. Trendy washbasins and big mirrors provide that luxury hotel touch. Rooms are a decent size, beds are... more

My wife and me stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. We are very satisfied with the accomodations and the provided service. The lady at the front desk, Maria, was very helpful and efficient. She recommended us a traditional taverna that turned out to be excellent (Peri Orexeos). She also provided helpul insight about the city. more

We booked this hotel through air miles. Found it eventually! close to the beach and town. A bit noisy as very close to the airport but clean and friendly with lots of freebe's in the bathroom . buffet breakfast was nice, not much there though.. you need to get up early. more

We were booked into here unexpectedly as we could not fly out of Crete owing to high winds. The hotel although the rooms were small was fine with an acceptable standard and also a good location in the centre of Heraklion so lots of food outlets nearby. The one oddity is the sinks in the bedroom as the toilet/bathroom is... more

This is perhaps the most conveniently located hotel in Heraklion. I was very happy with my stay there, though I was iven a room in the first floor with no views of the city. I have no particular complain other than the shower which is useless as it can only be used by children and dwarfs! I would easily recommend... more

well appointed rooms (flat screen TVs), stylish beds, spacious bathrooms, pool up on the rooftop, nice cafe/restaurant in the bottom floor; internet access (but must pay) - the location was good, in the city center - near major bus stops - one that takes you to the ruins right in front of the hotel - a nice number of shoppes... more
