Good place, very close to the airport you can walk it. not great views from my window but all we wanted was a place to crash when the flight arrived at 2am took 5mins to get there 24hr reception area even the bar was still open if you wanted a beer! room OK for the price 70euros Breakfast very good... This is such a convenient location for an overnight stay if you arrive at the airport in the late evening - only about a mile from the airport. My flight landed at Heraklion Airport at close to midnight so I needed somewhere to stay near to the airport. The Sofia seemed to be the only option and I pre-booked it for about £50 including breakfast. I walked from the airport, which was a little unnerving, in about 15-20 minutes; I found the hotel a little tricky to find.... More

Our last night stay in Herklion at the Sofia was great. The rooms are spotless and well appointed, recently updated we understand. Rates excellent. It is close to the airport which means some noise so not recommended for a longer stay. More
