We ( my husband, son and myself) have just had our second visit, having stayed 10 nights and 11 days. This is the second time we have visited Elounda Island Villas and what a treat it was! Every now and then you need to get away and offload the everyday baggage an nonsense that crowds your life, and Elounda Island... More

What amazing and idyllic vacation in Creta and in particular in Elounda accomadation thank to this place and the kindlyness and disponibility of Lida. We enjoy this area and recommand a stop of several days in this quiet part of Creta ... The village is closed and charming. It is a strategic and convenient place to visit East part, in... More

This is our home from home. Lida is a wonderful hostess and now a friend. The villas are simple and basic in a charming way. Don't expect flat screen TVs and jacuzzi baths. Do expect stunning views and delicious home cooking. Don't expect aircon. Do expect cleaning every day. If you don't like walking this may not be the best... More

Elounda Island Villas really makes for the perfect vacation, and for a reasonable price. You have the luxury first of a 2 or 3 story guest house with a kitchen and porch - sometimes two depending on your selection. Second you have the luxury of being on a totally isolated island (connected to mainland by 1K causeway) with a small... More

When you stay at Elounda Island Villas you have the best of both worlds. Whilst you live in spacious, simple Cretan villas that are set in a place of perfect peace surrounded by the sea on one side and a mountain behind, you are just a causeway away from the hustle and bustle of the main Elounda Resort with all... What joy to arrive here from our home in Boston, Massachusetts via England and Athens hot and dusty and to be handed a banana smoothie. It really was bliss, and our villa no. 2 was a very happy home for 10 days. We walked miles every day, swam, hired a boat and explored, and ate hugely at many different restaurants... More

Hello Ginny and John, Thank you so much for stying with us, for your smile and for such kind words! If you allow me I shall post a photo of you wearing the 'fish knows...', because not only you apreciated my smoothies and your room's view, but you also liked our little Art Shop! A truly delightful place to stay and exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival via a short causeway from the mainland we were warmly welcomed by Lida who showed us to our villa. We booked a studio but they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom villa number 4. What a treat... The accommodation was simply furnished on 4 levels with... More

Two things I enjoyed the most... A rich homemade breakfast gazing the golf of Mirabello and the village of Elounda (indescribable view!) and a glass of red wine, in the evening, lying on a long chair looking at the stars in a so peaceful atmosphere!!!! Taking few days off in such a complex you feel to be reborn. Everything looks... More

We arrived at Elounda Island Villas at night (drove from Heraklion Airport). Even though we knew our accommodation was on a little island, outside the town of Elounda, we were charmed by the surroundings and the immediate proximity of the very calm stretch of sea water. The little cafe area in front welcomed us with a calm atmosphere and a... More

Lovely Katharina, It was such a pleasure to have you as our guests! And what you are describing about the area it is so true, only people with open eyes and heart are able to realise. You are all fantastic, especially Phelix ;-) I really hope to see you again, in Crete, in Athens or Berlin! Yours, Lida More
