We visited Crete this summer- end end of June and early July and stayed at Vergis Epavlis for most of the stay- a stunning location just outside Heraklion in almost a private setting. We stayed at Blue Palace two days while visiting Elounda, had some Spa treatments and relaxed the rest of the day. We really liked it. There are... More

We had a fantastic time at Blue Palace, out room was very comfortable and we were lucky to have a pool away from the lift. The rooms either side of the lift are totally overlooked and people stare. The resort needs either a quicker lift or more, the time we spent waiting for it to go all the way down... More

... is called Blue Palace. You can choose to spend your holiday there, all right. But be very mindful on how much you value your own money and how easily are you willing to just get rid of them. And here follows why: First of all this is not a deluxe 5 stars hotel as it claims to be(comment made... More

We were a bit wary given some of the previous negative comments (which we can’t understand and certainly do not agree). We had a fabulous stay. We love Elounda and we have holidayed there regularly over the last ten years. We normally stay at the Porto Elounda Deluxe (the new Peninsula Suite complex does add an extra layer of luxury... Excellent location, all rooms facing the sea and a small island which offers a unique landscape. However, the hotel is certainly not a 5-star. We had a luxury suite with a private pool, but the furniture, the pool condition (falling tiles), the fact the bathroom had only one sink and would communicate with the living and not the bedroom, the... The Blue Palace has the potential to be 4 or 5 star but not presently. Those that travel half way across the world in expectation of a 5 star experience will be very disappointed. The Blue Palace does have a beautiful setting and grounds as well as excellent food. Those visitors who have experienced true 5 star hotels, not under... More

I was really excited about coming to blue palace, but have to admit that i was a little disappointed. There were some things I really liked, but other things I just couldnt get over. PROS - The property is massive and amazing. The views are great and the beach area is wonderful. - Rooms are clean, 100% modern, and totally... More

This is definately a five star hotel - the staff are welcoming, polite and friendly - with the exception of the beach bar where it is easier to go and get a drink yourself, than wait for the beach staff !Everywhere in the hotel is immaculate and clean - more than enough sun loungers and you're not allowed to leave... My husband and I just returned after a week-long stay at the Blue Palace. Overall it was an enjoyable trip; however it was over-priced for the quality of facilities and service and we are not likely to return. So let me start with the POSITIVES: - The location of the hotel is amazing. It is nestled in between the mountains... More

Just wanted to share with your viewers that this hotel was elegant and excellent in every way. We stayed for three days and treasured every minute! Beautiful five year old hotel with every modern convience and 5 plus star property. Could not want more in a hotel. The hotel has 5 huge pools, and more than 130 private pools! The... More
