My husband and I recently returned from our honeymoon in Greece. The Blue Palace Resort had very different reveiws online, but our travel agent was insistent that it would be a great hotel and the fact that it was a Starwood Luxury Collection Hotel swayed us. We booked a seaview bungalow with a private pool. I read throughout the reviews... More

From June, 9 till June, 12th I was staying in hotel Blue Palace on Crete, Greece. It is a remarkable hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there. But in a month I have received the letter from the hotel management. It said that I have used the mini-bar, they have not included it into the account when I was leaving... More

I kept seeing this hotel on various "Luxury Hotel" websites and decided, following the excellent reviews on tripadvisor, that this was the one for our first holiday this year. It is quite expensive, but boy do you get the service!! We booked a superior bungalow with sea view. When we arrived at 10 pm on our arrival day, we were... More

The website for this hotel looks amazing and the photos are really accurate. Based on this, we expected a totally amazing 5* experience. The reality is that the hotel tries hard to provide that 'luxe' experience, but falls short in some places. We stayed for 10 nights in a standard room on a B&B basis. Room was very comfortably appointed... More

My fiancé and I drove 3 hours from a 2 day trip on other side of Crete (in Chania) to check into Blue Palace, which we were SO excited for from viewing the website. We arrived to a drab and ugly façade, drove up to reception and the bell boys just stood there and watched us struggle to get our... More

Contrary to what some people have said we would definitely rate this as a 5 star resort. The room was spacious, well appointed and well looked after by hotel staff ( maid service, etc ) All staff we encountered were friendly courteous and helpful. The hotel itself was very well equipped and maintained. Our only complaint being the glass elevator... More

My boyfriend and I arrived for our five night stay at the Blue Palace and were welcomed by some of the warmest hotel staff we've met. The entrance was so pretty, the room was comfortable, and we had a great time. We were a little concerned by some of the complaints we read but we really enjoyed our stay. Our... More

The wider Elounda area has some of the island's top hotels. However, this latest addition to the luxury hotels cannot shake off the typical mass tourism feel that comes with big hotels. It has a somewhat split personality, with well thought of architectural features making the most of an otherwise very steep hillside. The breakfast at the top of the... More

Spent a wonderful five days May 22nd-27th at the Blue Palace with my husband and daughter. As a Starwood Platinum guest, I was given a wonderful upgrade to a beautiful suite overlooking the Aegean with a private pool. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given a welcoming glass of peach juice (delicious!). Then escorted to our room, where a... More
