I can't praise this hotel enough. The staff were excellent. As a solo traveller I was completely spoiled and never forgotten. Easter is a huge celebration for the Greeks and the hotel and staff ensured that I was made to feel part of all their celebrations. Yes - it's expensive, but if you want the best - you have to... more

As many other posters have said, the place is very nice but the costs beyond the room rate add up quickly. It's particularly shocking coming from North America. Meals & drinks, room service, the gym and water sports were all two to three times what you would pay for at a North American resort. more

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times but never again. The location is great, the staff helpful and charming (except for one Putin lookalike waiter at the Argonaut restaurant ) the rooms comfortable and and service in general very good. BUT the price of food and drink was frankly ridiculous: 16 euros for a vodka and... more

We kicked off our honeymoon at the Elounda Beach Hotel. First things first - it is a very good standard hotel (pushing 5 star) with great facilities and benefits from a great location and views all around. the staff are friendly and it has all the stuff you look for in a peaceful holiday. They welcomed us and we had... more

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Elounda Beach. Great hotel in a great location. Wasn't too busy - which we liked - as I think peak season kicks in next month (June). Staff were all very polite - obviously well trained which was nice. Location is great with its own private beach which must be the cleanest... more

Not sure if this resort has been refurbished, but when we went in 2006, this was a pure rip off deal. Food overpriced, resort full of loud Russian guests, terrible service and tiny tiny bungalows! We paid incredible price for a middle range bungallow, and the room fitted double bed, 2 chairs and 1 old small TV (80's style). The... more

Many friends have been to this terrific location and come back with fond memories of a superb time. The hotel is simply an institution with a high return rate. A village of Villas surrounding a top class hotel. But - they are spoiling it by overpricing the food and beverages to a point where........they are taking the michael! A gin&t... more

We refer to a number of disparaging remarks with respect to the Elounda Beach Hotel food and beverage charges & pricing policies and addressing the matter, we wish to clarify the following: Elounda Beach Hotel as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has placed great emphasis on fine dining, with each of our restaurants boasting it’s own...

I stayed here in the first two weeks of August with my two girls who were 6 and 8. The room was a disgrace. Old mouldy tiny and despite paying £ 800 a night had a tiny double bed and a wooden slatted pull out sofa. the next morning I complained and was offered a slightly bigger room for double... more

We were there on a half board basis in April. Out of season, no crowds, no groups, not many people, wonderful room with balcony looking out over the garden and the sea beyond. The bath robes were the best we have used! The food was excellent and the menu changed daily. The staff on the activities desk were superb and... more

Having stayed at the Elounda Beach Hotel about six times in the last ten years and having also stayed in both hotels which are situated on either side of it, we have observed a gradual decline in room occupancy at the Elounda Beach. It would appear that the management policy to seek a higher and higher financed clientele has simply... more

Firstly we wish to thank this author for his/her review and are pleased that the ambience of Elounda Beach Hotel allured him/her to return so often during the past ten years. Whilst we appreciate the author’s perceptive, we feel it necessary to address a number of the points raised. We would like to highlight that Elounda Beach is a resort...
