Went to this hotel this time last year. I can honestly say I have never been treated this good at an hotel before. Glass of fizz on arrival, was taken to room by golf buggy, every room has a sea view, food is out of this world, no fighting for sunbeds. So good we are going back there in about... More

We stayed here for a week all inclusive. The staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful (with exception of the mini-mart which is on hotel premises, she looked like she wanted to be somewhere else) but it did feel a bit chaotic at times. For example when we arrived, along with approximately 12 other couples, check-in was manic and we... More

We stayed at the Elounda Village for ten nights at the beginning of May. On arrival you can feel the relaxed calm atmosphere; this is helped by the very helpful & efficient staff. The Thomson reps & Maria from Guest Relations also helped to make sure our holiday went well. Our sea view bungalow (657) was close to the main... More

We stayed at the Elounda Village for a week in May. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The hotel grounds and the views from the pool area and beach are stunning. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was excellent - most days, the room had been cleaned by... More

Stayed here on my honeymoon in early May, first week of the season and it was beautiful. Facilities were high quality, and the staff were brilliant. The food at the sea front restaurant was outstanding, so we ate there every night except the first. We even got a free bottle of Champagne as a welcome gift in our room!!

We stayed here for a week in September 2014 so this is a bit of a late review. I can't comment on the building works mentioned in the more recent reviews but while we were there it was idyllic. I had forgotten what children looked like until we got to the airport to go home. We had paid for a... More

They indeed mean it, it is not a false promise - the hotel keeps children away, devoting its aesthetic magic, divine tranquility, luring romance, immense serenity, gastronomic challenge, absolute comfort, staff politeness and overall perfection wholly to people, who are afraid that minors might disturb them by noise or otherwise. As they denied entrance to my 5-years-old son, I was... More

We have just returned from ten days at Aquila. We stayed in room 470, which seemed to be the highest sea view bungalow. The view was amazing and we had the sun on our balcony until 6.30pm when it went behind the hills. For this reason we wanted to stay in this room, but if you are disabled or not... More

We stayed at Aquila Elounda Village for 1 week in early May. Initially we were in Room 214 which was situated in the main hotel building above the main restaurant and kitchen areas. There was intermittent loud noise early evening through to midnight due to the service trolleys from the kitchen below us. We raised this with hotel management who... More

We had a lovely time, our second visit, but this time stayed AI for the week, which gave us not only a good range of drinks throughout the day, but the option to eat a good selection of dishes from the a la carte menu in the 2 restaurants, so avoiding the self service buffet (not that there was anything...
