Fantastic. Stayed there at the end of October 2013. The location is perfect at the fringe of the old town and on top of a lovely square. The old ottoman house has been restored with care, and the rooms are aesthetically beautiful, very spacious and enjoy all modern amenities. Breakfast is a little poor as they don't have permit to... Not all hotels in Chania have such a charming location right in the old town. Ionas Hotel is a small gem. Modern style, comfortable and friendly staff. Despite the age of the structure, it has been stylishly renovated including an elevator and a pretty garden terrace on one of the upper floors. Our double room was spacious and attractive. The... we had the luck to choose this hotel for a two-night stay in the wonderful city of Chania. It is situated in a quied alley in the center of Chania (east old city), near the old harbor. The exterior is extremelly well renovated and retains the architecture of the old buildings, although it looks brand new. The interior is friendly... More

We stayed here for one night before flying home to the UK and wished we could have stayed longer. This boutique hotel has prime position in the old town very close to the ports with good selection of restaurants. The hotel is custom built to a high standard with wonderful taste in decoration. Beds and cleanliness were excellent along with total... More

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Hotel Ionas. The location is the main reason: it's very close to the waterfront and all the cute shops, but not squeezed into the area where the hoards of tourists tend to stay. It's also near some of the best restaurants in Chania, many of which are full of locals versus... More

Overall a nice hotel to stay a few days to have a central location in Chania, very calm area, just a few meters away from great restaurants and cafés. Just too much light coming in from the lamps illuminating the little street aside.

If you are looking for a quiet cozy corner boutique hotel in Chania, this hotel is perfect for you. The positives: Quiet location, 10 minute walk to harbor, super comfortable beds with 2 pillows per person, clean, balcony, refrigerator, air conditioning, elevator, beautiful 2nd floor terrace for relaxing. The Negatives: we had a shower that leaked (not air tight seal... More

Year 2 and trip 2 to the Ionas - didn't think it could get better than before but the small team there made sure our stay was absolutely PERFECT. It disappoints me to see idiots leave such harsh reviews about (bathrooms, parking etc). This year we occupied 4 rooms on different floors of the hotel, each was generous in size... More

We could not have been more delighted with Hotel Ionas. While a bit hard to find (be sure to get directions from the staff before arriving in Chania - Google Maps won't cut it), it is an amazingly beautiful restored old home. I think it actually belonged to the current proprietor's great-grandfather. We did have to wait a bit to... More
