We had a lovely week at Orestis in August. Clean, great views and a good restaurant nearby. We rented a moped, which was helpful as the hotel is located up the hill. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed at Orestis for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated in the quiet neighborhood of Stalos, which is about 10 mins from Chania town. The rooms at Orestis are very neat and simple with a view of Stalos from one end and a view of the pool area from another. Great pool... More

Having just returned after spending a week at the Orestis Hotel I can thoroughly recommend. The owner Plantos is one of the most helpful “hoteliers” I have ever had the pleasure of meeting on holiday. He could not do enough to make us feel both welcome and make the most of our time on Crete – his advise on what... More

Initially, we were concerned that the location would be an issue but we thought we would give it a try for a couple of nights and ended up staying for 5! There are 6 buses throughout the day that pass the door to Chania and the 1800m walk to the beach and main road for more frequent buses is no... More

we arrived late in the evening and we were welcomed by Johann who was very nice to us and even told us that we can swim in the pool, which I found a magnificent experience.the rooms were very well equipped and modern. in the morning the long chat we had with Professor Platon at a cup of tea made my... Just returned from our 2 weeks stay at this little gem. It's located well away from the touristy bits which suited us both fine. Both balconys (yes 2) had wonderful views. The apartments are small and basic but perfectly functional. The owner Platon was very welcoming and friendly. A hire car is essential as it is located uphill in a... More

Lovely apartments away from the beach (and madding crowd), up in a little village called Upper Stalos. Friendly and warm welcome from Plato, the owner, the made us feel right at home and gave us some super tips on places to visit. Hire car is needed. Although very touristy beach closest to the apartment, some super beaches worth visiting in... More

We spent a week at the Hotel Orestis and had a truly memorable holiday. The room had a sea view and was modern and clean. We sat having our breakfast every morning on the balcony which backed on to a beautiful swimming pool. The place was so quiet and peaceful and could have not been more relaxing. There are three... Although we only stayed for one night before moving to a villa Platon & Kostas were amazing hosts. The rooms (ingeniously designed) had the most fantastic views and the great pool was very welcome. The village is quaint and away from the bustle of the seaside development. Platon spent at least an hour marking tavernas and places of interest on... More
