We were fortunate enough to stay here approximately 4 nights. The location is out of the town of Chania, however, very accessible by local bus which runs every half hour. A few minutes walk and you are close to at least 4 restaurants/cafes with spectacular views. Helen and her family are very helpful, whatever you need they will go out... More

Awesome stay in a wonderful family owned & operated hotel. Magnificent views of Chania from the hotel veranda. Very clean! Breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice was really tasty. Excellent location close to Chania and not far from the airport. Eleni was extremely helpful and kind. Look forward to visiting again.

This hotel is on a busy main road, with free car parking however we did not hire a car and travelled around the area by public transport. It is a very long walk into Chania about 4 Kms buses run every half hour week days, hourly at the weekend until 11.00pm, and lots of taxis around. Reception were very obliging... More

This is a family owned business and they cant do enough for you. There is a bus stop less than 100 m away and 2 euros to catch into Chania town centre.. Pool is awesome, wifi is good, breakfast was great. Rooms were comfortable, clean, had comfy beds. Off road parking. Excellent views. Eateries close by. Mini market across the... More

This Hotel was booked last minute for an urgent business trip, I was a bit worried where I would end up as all Hotels were showing fully booked. What a gem it turned out to be. I arrived quite late but was met by Eiannis the owner and one of his daughters Eleni. A friendly greeting and a smile after... More

I stayed here for two weeks in late July while participating in an Erasmus summer school at TEI of Crete. There were 27 of us from all over Europe (I'm from UK) staying here and it was a delightful experience. As most have mentioned Helen was a very hospitable manager. While there, we enjoyed pretty much exclusive use of the... More

The hotel is very nicely located on the hills above the center of Chania, and not far from the airport, and easy to find when you come by car. Monte Vardia can be characterized as a place with fabulous service, Eleni and her colleagues really makes you feel as a special guest! They serve great breakfast including greek yogurt and... More

What a brilliant place to come and stay! Superbly clean and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. My husband was really rather poorly a couple of days and Helen was so caring and supportive- her and her mom even made him a special rice broth to help his stomach! I can't praise highly enough. We will definitely be back!

We chose the this hotel from the Trip Advisor reviews and we wanted a hotel with a pool as most in the centre of Chania do not have one. We were not disappointed! This is a family run traditional Greek hotel a few miles from the centre of town. You may want to hire a car to get about but... More
