We got a last minute deal for a flight to Crete (Iraklion) the next morning. I read the reviews and it was a crowded holiday weekend, so I made some calls, and made reservations at the Villa Venezia. She said no problem, she had a great room. I asked if she wanted my Visa Card, she said no need, she... More

Stayed with my father in this great little Villa right on the water and it was perfect. Very comfortable rooms considering the villa is over 300 years old. Naidia the manager was excellent, I had made a mistake regarding the booking that I didn't realize until I arrived and she was super helpful and patient. My father and I got... More

Recommendable if you want to stay in the very center of an old town. The old harbour view from the windows is fantastic. Many attractive restaurants and shops all around... It is a funny process to pass the good offers one gets from all the bars and restaurants when going from or to your hotel. - Kitchen facilities in the... More

The hostess (owner?) Neti was nice and helpful. There's no front desk so you ring a bell and she just kind of pops up. She recommends lots of restaurants except Korali which is the one you go through to get to the front door of the hotel which is odd. They will give you 10% off your meal just like... More

Perfect location in the old Venetian Harbour of Chania, Crete. Nadi is a very welcoming person, well organised and goes out of her way to arrange anything you want. Room facilities are clean, our room had wondeful views and plenty of space. We would be happy to return and recommend to anyone as good value for money. We arrived late... More

We spent three wonderful days in Chania and stayed at Villa Venezia. The surroundings are definately worth visiting, the hotel was clean and seemed to have been recently renovated, still preserving its traditional feeling. The hotel manager, Nadi, has been very kind and helpful, suggesting us small trips to some of the best beaches of the island.

We visited Chania on July 2008. We stayed at Villa Venezia, which is located in the old harbour of the city. There are many picturesque alleys, cafes, and restaurants around and we loved talking long walks every day. The studio we stayed at was large and clean. The view to the harbour and the sea was magnificent and the room... More

This was a very comfortable, personable hostel that is right in the heart of Chania Town. Very convenient to everything, great views and comfortable accommodations. If you are looking for something in this price range, I would strongly recommend it.

It was my worst experience travelling. The smell in the room was really unbearable, the noise of all the parties outside didn't let me sleep, but if you add the attitude of the manager, it really turned my vacation into a nightmare. It's not worth it at all!

Cool concept of staying on old Venetian Harbor, but with that comes too much pain. Since the building is so old, it has a terrible musty smell. You couldn't sleep at night without keeping the windows opened and even that didn't dissolve the smell. With the windows opened, the noise wouldn't allow for sleep so it made for a very... More
