Effy and George are amazing! Very pleased with our stay, we came back again for couple more nights after exploring Cyprus. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Old Town. On a lovely street, charming shops all around! Breakfast is substantial. Rooms are most comfortable. For our second stay we chose the balcony room across the street. Please keep in in... More

Lovely hotel, great location and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast provided. The room was beautifully appointed with some really old wooden furniture all handmade and very interesting. We will definitely return. Thank you.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks during our Summer holidays in 2013. We had very nice room at the las floor with almost private balcony. On the balcony we could admire the beautiful panorama of Old Harbour of Chania. They serve very nice breakfast with the best fresh orange juice ever! The here are 3 very good restaurants... More

A very comfortable stay with a homely vibe. This old venetian building offers spacious, modern rooms with high ceilings, but stays true to its venetian origins through its furniture and decor (and a four poster bed!) Since it's part of a cafe, it means that you can pop downstairs easily enough for coffees and drinks. The staff are extremely friendly... More

It's a very nice place to stay. We've been there in December 2011 and it was very strange, at first. When we arrived there was nobody there: just a mobile number on the door. We rang and the manager came. When we asked how would we get in again if we wanted to get for dinner, he smiled and handed... More

Our family of 4 stayed at the Doge Hotel in two stints during July 2013. First in two separate twin rooms, then in one family room.We had a great time there. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the old town, walking distance to everything - marvellous ambience and atmosphere. The hosts were terrific - very helpful and... More

It was very clean. The staff was very friendly. They gave us useful advice about restaurants. They gave us complementary wine, fruit, water and juice. The location of the hotel was great (near the port, the cafes, the shops and the bus center). The decoration of the room was really nice. They made us felt like home. We adored it.

The hotel has comfy rooms with lots of space and is clean with friendly service. The breakfast is adequate although it could use some improvment. The best thing by far is its location. Trust my when I say you could not have a better location for a hotel at Chania!!! Situated at the heart of the old city, it makes... More

If you want a hotel room for you and your family with space and personality then this is the perfect hotel. Right in the centre of town. Yet so quiet and peaceful and the air conditioning spot on. Loved the family room which was split into two levels, felt a shame to leave the room but then you need to... More
