My husband and I stayed at Mme. Bassia in June of 2011. We couldn't have been happier with this spot! It was awesome. We were able to walk to everything and felt completely at home. Nectarios was an amazing host and told us all the highlights of Crete that we shouldn't miss. He was also more than generous with the... More

Sweet and friendlfy B&B. The owner operates the Crete stand every year in the Brussels Xmas Markets. He can also help with rental cars and other accomodation in other cities. Highly reccommendable. More

the hotel has rooms that are renovated and old rooms. the old rooms are horrible to stay, even for free. the renovated rooms are nice, not spacious, very small wc. the cleaning was poor. the location is very good very close to the market, the port, the bars n restaurants. in few words the money you pay are worthing the... The staff is so helpful and friendly here, you couldn't possibly find anything bad to say about the place! You are close to many restaurants, the harbor, and the bus station. The rooms are clean and made up everyday. Wifi is included but not very fast, yet who cares when you are in Greece! It was just a lovely quaint... More

Because it was winter and the place was empty we were given a very nice front room with plenty of room and a nice (if somewhat small) bathroom with antique touches. Owner Nectarios met us and gave us an introduction to Hania and offered to help in whatever he could. We stayed there just one night, but it was enough... More

Very convenient location within Chania Town and just a few blocks away from the harbour and wonderful restaurants. I like the nice and simple interior decor of the room and the colourful pantry. The pantry was also well-equipped. The room was newly-renovated, warm and clean. What really made me like the Mme Bassia was that the staff was very warm... More

After travelling for three weeks around Greece, this was the best accommodation by far. It was situated centrally just off the main street in Chania and within 10min talking distance to the lighthouse and the resturaunts by the water. Although it is above a street full of shops, it was still able to offer a very secluded and quiet stay.... More

Loved our stay at Mme Bassia!. It is ideally located.. right in the center of old town but at night the street its on is quiet so nice place to sleep. It felt like we were staying in a much more expensive place. Besides being such a great value, great location, it was so cute!! We had our own balcony... More

This was a perfect hotel for ending my stay in Crete. Though it is smack dab in the middle of the tourist mania of Old Chania, it was pin drop quiet. The surrounding shops close and the nightlife is elsewhere. The place was clean and the host, Nectarios was friendly and helpful, and even charged me less than agreed upon,... More
