Exquisite Venetian architecture, beautifully and tastefully decorated apartment with quirky antiques. Own pool and courtyard, with outdoor table and sun-loungers. Fridge stocked daily with fabulous organic produce from the farm. Near to Chania and lovely day excursions to beaches or inland. Friendly staff -- housekeeper, Linda makes a fabulous orange cake! This is our second visit. We came for 3... More

We spent one week at Metohi Kindelis in May and feel so lucky we discovered this place. It is difficult to summarise all our wonderful experience in a few words, but I guess what we really liked is the natural setting and atmosphere the fact it offered a lot of privacy while being able to share genuine moments with the... This place, as the other reviewers have said, is exquisite. I can't really add anything original but only reinforce what they've written. Still, the vision of Metohi Kindelis and its owner and family is an important one for Crete as well as for other highly touristed areas. The cultivation of indigenous plants that also provide sources for locally-based income is... More

I have mixed emotions about writing glowing Tripadvisor reviews. On one hand those that work incredibly hard to set up and run with passion and attention to detail, brilliant businesses, deserve recognition for it. On the other hand, I don't like giving these places away so they end up fully booked next time we want to stay... Metohi Kindelis is... More

This was one of the most beautiful places we stayed! We had a lovely room with bunk beds for the kids, and every morning our refrigerator was replenished with delicious organic food and fresh fruit from the garden. Did I mention our private pool? It was enchanting. I must say the best part was having a wonderful guide, Danai, who... More

We just got back from spending ten days at Metohi Kindelis. Because of all the positive reviews my expectations were quite high - so I was a little nervous I would be disappointed. I wasn't, if anything the place exceeded my expectations. Our two young daugthers loved the pool and the farm. There is even a small botanical garden with... More

We absolutely loved this beautiful little farm. The girls picked fresh strawberries each morning, it was very peaceful, the farmhouse was perfect accommodation and Chania for dinner(renting a car is the best way to go) was idealic. A very special experience!!!

One of the best host houses in Greece I have seen so far! The building is from around 1600 and the preservation of the spaces is wonderful! It is surrounded with gardens and fields for biological products. Each host house has a private swimming pool and a garden as well! People living in the property are very friendly and they... More

This was the most relaxing and peaceful place we have ever stayed during our numerous trips throughout Greece and the rest of the world. Manolis and his niece welcomed us, and were wonderful hosts. My wife and I visited the farmhouse for a week with our 10-month old baby, it was an amazingly restored Venetian-era villa set among pomegranate and... More
