We stayed at Villa Andromeda at the end of September. We were greeted by Athena, the owner. What a wonderful lady. She took care to recommend good restaurants in Chania, as well as taking great pains to insure that we didn't get lost driving around the City. Villa Andromeda is not in the center of town but it is on... More

We stayed here for 4 days at the end of September for our sons wedding which was held at the villa apart from the hotel being brilliant Athena the owner and her staff were fantastic. After parting company with a dodgy wedding planner the week before the wedding they helped us to sort out everything and nothing was to much trouble.They... Quite simply Villa Andromeda is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated mansion with an interesting history - taken over by Rommel in WW2 and Prince Philip has stayed here in the past. There are 8 lovely spacious rooms - we stayed in room 6 which has a comfortable sitting... More

A beautiful warm welcome, all the staff, Athena, Barbara and the domestics couldn't have been more friendly. A 20 minute walk into the Old Town, this was our 4th visit to Chania and we enjoyed being just out of the main area but not too far away.

Villa Andromeda is a beautiful residence of the last century before the sea of Chania; Exquisite hospitality and kindness, rooms and suites are spacious and tastefully decorated; unforgettable breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea; also excellent location, central but secluded from the busy center and noisy; Do not miss it!

We just had 5 nights here with our 20month old son. Barbara and Athena were excellent hosts and could not do enough for us. All the staff were very helpful. We were in a suite on the ground floor with a lovely balcony where a delicious breakfast was served every morning. The suite itself was tastefully decorated and very spacious... More

From the moment we first visited the Villa in May whilst scouting our wedding we fell in love with it. Me especially as being a student of all things second world war, the moment I learnt General Erwin Rommel stayed here during the war I was sold. From then on Athena and Barbara who run the villa were incredible. We... More

What more can I add to all the enthusiastic reviews of Villa Andromeda? My daughter and I have just returned from a week in this beautiful villa with its views of the sea and Chania. The tranquil garden with swimming pool, vine-covered arbour, fragrant jasmine and stephanotis, along with the wonderful personal service, are really special. Such a refreshing change... More

Excellent in every way, lovely staff, good location, beautiful rooms, beautiful building, delicious breakfast, clean pool. It's a very small hotel with a very personalised service. It's a fair walk into chania town so probably most people staying will have a car.

You do need a car to take advantage of everything this elegant and comfortable villa provides since it is about a kilometre from Chania and has its own dedicated car park. You need very exact directions to find that park: just email to find out. That said, you could not ask for a better location. Built in 1870 and meticulously... More
