The hotel is very well located, is a ten minute walk from the historic center and port, has easy parking and is located on an avenue of easy exit to the main road. We stayed for four nights and used the hotel as a base to explore the surroundings. The breakfast is very good. The room was large and very comfortable,... More

Nice hotel, quite close to city center and to bus station (both +/- 10min walk) . Rooms are comfortable and clean. Courtyard garden and pool are small, but are a lovely place to relax. Good breakfast. Free wifi, but no access in the room - only limited access in the lobby.

We stayed for two nights in late July. We chose this hotel because we wanted a swimming pool and also be within walking distance of the old town. Akali fitted both these conditions. We had a family room which comprised of 2 adjoining rooms which worked well for us. As mentioned in previous reviews, the room was really dated but... More

I visited Akali in early July 2014, which was already well into the tourist season; the hotel hosted people from at least two conferences, so it was nearly full. Chania has a picturesque old town located around the old Venetian harbous, and a rather indifferent new town encircling the old town. The hotels in the old town are (very) old... More

Hotel built around late 80's. Desparately asking for a renovation, especialy in the standard rooms. Clean and comfortable though, not far from the old port and the city beach. Breakfast with plenty of medium quality choises. The staff was ok, apart from one or two snooty ladies at he reception desk. Since thee are just a few city hotels at... More

Used this hotel for a short 4 day break in Chania and we couldn't have been more delighted. On arrival, We received a friendly and efficient welcome which continued throughout the whole of our stay as, without exception, every member of staff provided service with a smile. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and serviced daily to a very... More

The overall impression is average. This hotel was built maybe in 80s and it like accordingly. The public places look nice, but only on surface. When you visit the public restroom in the groud floor, it will be clear. On the other side, the room (double room in the lowest price range, B+B) was comfortable, but a little bit tight... More

A lovely hotel, great staff, good location, stunning food, a team that can not do enough for you, a fantastic hotel manager that has gone so far above her role to accommodate us as guests and also hosts of an international conference. We would return again! Thank you all :)
