We spent 3 nights in the hotel. Our room was in the third floor. No lift, and you must climb up 64 steps with your luggage. If you are not enough fit it is not recommended to book second or third floor room. From the room nice view for the lighthouse and to the venetian harbour. The price includes the... more

We were very disappointed in the hotel. We arrived very late and had to lug all of our suitcasese up three flights of stairs. The room we stayed in was very unattractive. I had requested a double bed and was told we could have one but ended up in a tiny room with singles. The bathroom was nice. If anyone... more

For our honeymoon in Greece, we originally wanted a room at the Palazzo di Pietro in Chania. But our travel agent told us that was full so would we go with Porto del Colombo instead? On the website it looked like a nice hotel so we agreed. We arrived late at night and got lost with our car several times... more

My son and I booked through a travel agent and when we arrived we found the room assigned had one double bed. They assumed from our initials that we were a married couple! The hotel was full, but the situation was saved by a chair in the room that pulled out to become a single bed. Was it comfortable? Well,... more

Be careful when you book with this hotel. Our travel agent booked four of us here, but evidently did it on the web. He vows that the hotel never notified him that they did not have rooms available and would book us somewhere nearby. When we arrived, we were told that we would be re-booked at a nearby hotel. However,... more

My wife and I stayed as part of 2 weeks travelling in Greece between Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Crete. We arrived in Chania having driven from Heraklion and having booked online and not consulted a map had a lot of difficulty negotiating one way streets and locating the hotel in the closed off old town. Closest parking to hotel was... more

We Stayed at Porto del Colombo Hotel at end Sept for 4 nights. I had booked early in April and asked for a room on lower floors but was told they were all booked, but if one came available they would inform us. We ended up with a room on the third floor, the hotel has no lift so you... more

Great location, I love the maze of alleys. Fairly quiet, except for a cat fight during the night. I stayed in a triple with my sisters, plenty of room, although the bathroom is a little small for three girls. Breakfast is hearty & delicious! Staff recommended some great restaurants. My parents had a great view of the harbor from their... more

Friendly reception. Breakfast room is nothing to write home about but the breakfast is - creamy yogurt with cherries or honey, fresh bread, cheese, cake, coffee, fresh orange juice. Don't stay here if you can't handle walking up lts of stairs, no lifts. Room was not big, but sufficient, with charcter. The view is a bit cut of from roofs... more

The Hotel is located in the heart of Chania's old town, directly behind the harbour on a quiet street. The rooms are nice, well decorated, clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good. Not many rooms have double beds, so request one when you book. more
