Really nice, cosy hotel with reasonable prices. Great location, very clean. The service was nice and helpful, willing to help with renting the car or booking taxi to the airport. Rooms are nice, with air condition and old style that suits this really old hotel. You can feel history here. Definitely worth staying in.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights, the second time that I have been there. My recollection was of a wonderful building, filled with history and absolute charm. I did not really expect to find it even better on another visit - but it was. An extraordinary ambience throughout the building and a room that I did not really... More

This is a very good hotel and we really enjoyed our stay there a few weeks ago. The best part of it though was Athina. She is so helpful, kind, bubbly and welcoming. She works at the front desk and she turned what would have been a good hotel experience into an excellent one. She gave us really good advice... More

We stayed at several hotels during our two weeks in Greece and this was our favorite because the staff was amazingly kind and helpful. Despite arriving late, we were met with a warm welcome and greeted as the "honeymooners", which was very sweet and unexpected. The women at the front desk helped us find an inexpensive rental car, lent us... More

Warm welcome for our group. Free wi-fi in rooms, good shower, hairblower installed right where you need it, TV (but no English channels), mini-fridge. The bathroom window of a top-floor room has a view of a slice of the harbour. Friendly staff. Perfect location, just up from the waterfront.

When you first arrive at the hotel your are greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff, you can instantly feel that this is a family-run hotel. The staff were eager to make recommendations of what to see and what to do in the city. The location of the hotel is amazing right behind the old port and in the... More

I am enjoying the Porto Del Colombo in Chania even as I write these words. Before coming to Chania I had fears connected with my veeeeery late arrival (02:00 in the morning), knowing that the reception was open until 22:30 in the evening. But everything with finding the keys was well organized. The hotel is really old - not only... More

We had a great experience staying at Porto del Colombo in Chania. The house is very old, built at the time of the Venetian occupation and has undergone many transformations following the adventurous history of the city. It is of course renovated and converted into a rather comfortable hotel. We were greeted at the Reception by Athina, who is very... More

This is absolutely a charming hotel, well located in the center of "OldTown," with a great staff and good breakfast but be sure you understand that you will have to roll your luggage about 200 meters since it is in a pedestrian only area and once at the hotel you will have to walk up 64 steps if they put... I just loved staying at this hotel. Each room seems to be unique, and so each review is going to likely depend on which room the person is staying in. I was in room 2 & 7, and it was lovely. As I understand it, room 7's rings on the walls were where slaves used to be held, which is... More
