If you are looking for a hotel to stay in Chania we would definitely recommend this place. Slight away from the main tourist areas so felt in the middle of things but not too much so. The staff were really great and welcomed us warmly even when we arrived early for check in. A room looking over the harbour gives... More

This was a return visit to Crete following our initial trip last year, and we couldn't wait to return, but we had not stayed in Chania before. My wife has tolerated me somehow for 50 years and we have enjoyed many travel experiences together, mainly on a fairly tight budget. I thought it was time for something special and booked... More

Our stay was marvelous. We had a junior suite with sea view and this is really worth it as we had 2 terrasses for us to enjoy a relaxing coffee in the morning or afternoon after our visit. We had lots of space, big cupboard to store staff and a big sofa and 2 TV, although we didn't used them... More

Booked a sea view room for one night as a good end to a 12 day tour of Crete. Delighted on arrival to be told we had been upgraded to the superior sea view suite on the top floor! Lovely, huge room with spacious sitting area, very large comfortable bed, sofa and chairs, marble bathroom, 2 TV's and tea /... More

This hotel, beautifully situated on the water, was perfect for us. We had a top floor sea view room which was well appointed, but small. Large people might have trouble getting from the door to the terrace- the space was tight. The hotel has a fine breakfast buffet and a bar, but no restaurant which seemed to add to the... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May and we absolutely loved it! Helpful and polite staff, delicious breakfast, newly renovated rooms to a high and modern standard, amazing location and views of the harbour, close proximity to all of Chania's day and night life. The only negative I can mention is the size of the rooms. Even... More

Pros: Great location, lovely rooms, service, reasonable price, comfortable beds, tasty and extensive breakfast . They have some on-street parking and a small parking lot and if there's no actual spaces, you can often squeeze your car in the parking lot, blocking other cars and then you can give the main desk your key and they will move it for you,... Porto Veneziano was perfect in almost all ways (and most of this review will be resoundingly positive). The one downside is the size of the rooms. The rooms are just too small (and I realize there is nothing much that can be done about that). Our traveling companion does yoga every morning and did not have enough room to stretch... More

Clean, charming, on the old Venetian Harbor of Chania, this is the best place to stay in Chania. Amazing service, great traditional Cretan breakfast, and great views. Good for work or play. Walking distance to lots of things to do.

Arrived in Chania late on a Saturday night and the town was over-flowing. All very good natured, but very crowded in the narrow streets. Couldn't find parking, so popped into the hotel and they could not have been more helpful. And it went on from there. Room was overlooking the harbour, so we thought it might be really noisy, given... More
