Our family of four (2 kids 13yo and 9 yo), booked the Alcanea Boutique Hotel hoping it would prove to have something for everyone. We were not disappointed. We shared the large family room for some of the 7 night stay, which is plenty big enough even with a teenage boy who needs to sometimes escape his parents and 9... More

My wife and I stayed here on night on our way to Loutro. I was very disappointed, disappointed that there were no vacancies for the two nights we would need in Chania on our way back. The hotel is lovely. Excellent location, well appointed rooms that maintain a rustic quality. Complementary bottle of rocket fuel (ok, it was Rakomelo) on... More

have just returned from a lovely two week holiday at alcanea hotel. The hotel had a fantastic ambience about it and the rooms were lovely, The staff, especially eva the receptionist were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was the best holiday i have had in greece and would love to return

A beautiful town and a perfect place to be based, Alcanea is right on the harbour and a 10min. walk to the beach. Located right near a large parking area, it's a 150m walk to the hotel which has the most relaxed patio area in town and let's you explore everything within minutes. The staff went out of their way... More

The staff is amazing. Eva at the reception desk was so friendly and helpful I can't even say how great she made our stay. The location was in our opinion the best in Chania. The views were amazing and we were right al the edge of the downtown port area. I can't recommend this hotel enough to anyone coming to... More

The location is amazing. The staff is warm and wonderful. We were in the honeymoon suite and the room was enormous with extra tall ceilings. The bathroom was contemporary and wonderful. Our only issue was the bed was hard as a rock.

A position beside the harbour; huge, well appointed rooms; a peaceful sunny upstairs courtyard for mid morning coffee; excellent breakfast (exceptional Greek omelettes); and above all very welcoming and helpful staff. They even organised car hire for us, and got the fellow to bring the vehicle round (how far from the supposed service of Hertz and Avis). This is simply... More

Stayed in four hotels during my recent trip to Greece, and this was probably my favorite. Building has so much character, nice location, and WONDERFUL staff who would help with anything we needed. Would've gotten an "excellent" rating if the bathrooms were a bit cleaner (some mold in the showers that could easily be taken care of) - otherwise very... More

I know that this review might sound phony but it was a perfect stay. A small boutique hotel with just 8 rooms, it is right on the harbor next to the attached Maritime Museum. Their small restaurant is on the ground level & as guests we received free breakfast (huge portions complete with eggs cooked the way you want them!).... More
