We used Chania as our home base, we were there for six days, rent a car from airport (it will make your life easier). You must take a day to go to Balos beach and afterwards head south to Elafonisi beach (really beautiful), we also took a 1 day trip to Santorini (time was a bit limited but 2/3 days... More

A nice, comfortable, quality hotel with a swimming pool and kids pool, by a fishing port, on the main road to Chania town from which is only a few minutes drive away. Our room, like most rooms of the hotel, had side view to the lovely Cretan sea. The hotel and the room were very clean and there was a... More

This was really bad experience. Rooms dirty, halls dirty, limited all inclusive (what?) and rude staff. This hotel should be closed or management completely changed, because this is a tourist trap. I have never saw so ugly place to stay like Porto Alegre beach hotel. Avoid it!!!

First of all, the staff was absolutely friendly, helpful and smiley! What a great way to be hosted at a hotel when on holidays. My room was sparkling clean and the cleaning ladies were giving their best to keep the hotel high standards every single day. I was also happy to have a parking space however not always but I... Small and cosy, very cute hotel really close to the city of Chania with a bus stop close to the hotel entrance. My room was very big and absolutely clean. Although the hotel is a 3 star one, the breakfast was more than sufficient. I liked the small pool because I feel I get lost in huge spaces. However, I... More

The hotel has a very good location. But the room was smelling HORRIBLE of mold. The waitresses at the breakfast were not cleaning others food scraps from the table, forcing the residents to do their jop. I want to believe that there are better places to stay at the beautiful city of Chania.

1) more than half of the staff is impolite, especially the women. Only two persons were polite, i think the one is the owner 2) we had booked a room with sea view BUT just outside our door was a table of the swimming pool, with some people sitting and talking all day and all night long! So we had... More

I stayed in this hotel with my wife and our small baby (11 months old) for one week. It is a small hotel but in a very cozy. The staff was very very friendly and hospitable and they made us feel quite comfortable (regards to Mr. Costas). It's not very far from city center but enough to avoid the hussle... More

We had booked this hotel over the internet directly with them, for 10 days initially. Their website is inviting so we had decided to try our luck. However once we got there, we got quite disappointed. A quiet room was assigned to us, as requested, but in a basement facing a wall. The basement situation had been announced but I... More
