Location & customer service was EXCELLENT. I upgraded to a suite w/an excellent view of the lighthouse. The hotel is centrally located. Balos beach is a 30 minute drive & airport is 15 minutes away. The staff made me feel at home and even placed champagne and a slice of cake in the room for my birthday. If you're looking... More

Ask for a room overlooking the lighthouse, sea but no need to go for the more expensive rooms with balcony. Complimentary Raki, charming service, breakfast at next door café and lots of restaurants within a very short walk - restaurants/bars right on the sea more expensive of course! Location in the centre of town and an easy 10 minute walk... More

I and my partner had a beautiful room with a stunning view on the lighthouse. Rooms look exactly the same as on the website. We couldn't choose a better place for our holidays stay! Restaurants, taverns and shops are in the walking distance as the hotel is located in the heart of the Old Harbour. The Porto Antico team (Sophia,... More

we had booked the room with the balcony, and when we were shown in there was no doubt it must be one of the finest rooms overlooking the harbour in Chania...the view out the door is absolutely to die for. The room itself is really gorgeous, 4 poster bed, beautiful wood flooring, spotlessy clean and that view again...however the only... More

We stayed in Porto Antico for 10 days at the and of September and the beginning of October. We had a nice and cozy room with a stunning view on the sea and lighthouse. The hotel itself is in the heart of the Chania Old Town. Complimentary raki was also very nice. Staff is always helpful, friendly and inviting. I'd... More

Booked for a 4 night stay. Loved it. The bed was Huge. We didn't have a harbour view but although we faced the little street behind the harbour, we had no problem with noise. Complimentary Raki in the room, very nice. There is a lovely restaurant opposite which did nice food and they had a couple of guys who played... More

After much research we booked this hotel for 3 nights in Sept 2014, not sure what to expect as there are so many to choose from in Chania. We received a lovely email a couple of days before from Sophia to confirm our booking and arrival time. The property was easy to find and we loved it from the minute... More

We have just returned from a two night stay in this lovely old hotel. We had read bad reviews then realised that they were from when the hotel was in the hands of the previous owners. I see these have gone now but I really hope they haven't put anyone off visiting this little gem. The new owners have completely... More

This delightful hotel has a wonderful view over the old Venetian port of Chania. Our room was clean, the shower just adequate, but that is all part of staying in a restored C16th building. It's not the sort of place you would want to spend a lot of time in, mainly because it is very noisy at night, being directly... More
