When we say Cretan hospitality, we mean Cretan hospitality!!!!!!! All with a big smile, warm, friendly and very helpful people. We came here with my husband and our children from Germany and we had never seen it so much. Firstly, the children made friends from the moment we arrived, secondly so we. We are telling you it was great. 17... More

We are four girlfriends from Italy. We just graduated from university and we decided to go for 15 days on holiday to Greece and particularly in Chania, you know? In Crete. It’s the second day that we are here. We are in this lovely hotel which is in west coast outside the city of Chania, lying to the pool’s comfortable... More

Greece has economic crisis. Fortunately the Greek do everything for the hospitality. He finds ways to do the tourist to feel like home. I honestly do not believe that we were coming in such a beautiful and quiet hotel. Especially in Crete. The hospitality, the warmth was more than perfect. We went to Porto- Kalamaki hotel. All staff with a... More

Stayed here for four nights in mid October. Nice clean and good value for money, friendly staff with good knowledge of local area and bus timetables. Great for visiting Chania and also sitting by the pool or beach if you want to and bus stop is a few yards away. If we go back to Crete again for a short... More

I thought this place would be a lot nicer considering the good reviews it got on Trip Advisor. It was very clean and cheap, but the beds were like rocks and there was no decoration in our room at all. Very bare bones and rather depressing. We had asked for a sea view but they said they never got our... More

Dear Mr. Zuzulanky, we want to take the chance and say something more general that it might have an interest to future guests. A hotel cannot satisfy all tastes. A guest who visits our town for first time must decide for himself whether he wants to stay in the old city, in a hotel near the city or in an... More

One think I have to tell you…. I’ll be very happy to remarry again and come here for a second honeymoon. We are from France. We married a week ago. We had never been to Crete so we decided to go for 15 days on our honeymoon in Chania. And here we are… at the hotel Porto-Kalamaki which is located... More
