We stayed at this amazing boutique hotel last year April over the Easter weekend so just in time for some authentic Greek holiday festivities. We stayed in the Stella Suite which was a home away from home for my husband and I. Spectacular views over the old harbour and views from the patio of the White Mountains. Be it that... More

We stayed here in the height of tourist season, in the Stella Suite (top floor). Everything about the hotel is lovely, with a beautiful decor and a wonderful homely atmosphere. The bed in our suite was large and comfortable, with a beautiful view out over the harbour, right on the waterfront, and a terrace overlooking the old town and the... More

First I have to say this is my very first review in TripAdvisor. Matina and Diana made our stay very special and I couldn't help writing a review here. Only because we happened to find this charming hotel, we changed our travel plan and included Chania into our schedule. Without this hotel we didn't even go to Creta at all... More

As other reviews have stated: excellent location, very warm hospitality, spectacular views, incredible breakfasts, numerous excellent restaurants outside your door. Cautionary note: might be initially hard to find (entrance down a pedestrian only alleyway), no onsite parking or elevator. This had zero bearing on our wonderful experience. Middle of all the action but a lovely refuge from all the activity.... More

We spent two nights at the room Argyris and it was wonderful. The decoration couldn't be more tasteful, mixing family antiques with new furniture. The ambience was relaxing and made us feel in a private retreat after our excursions in Crete. The location couldn't be better, just in the middle of the old venetian port with stunning views of the... More

This is a very difficult review. On the one hand there are a number of things to really like about Mama Nena’s, including · our room on the top floor is simply beautiful, with a perfect view over the harbour and a large terrace on the other side with views to the mountains · location, location, location – in the... My husband and I stayed in the Matina Room at Mama Nena (which is situated in the old town in Chania) for 3 nights while on our honeymoon in Greece in August 2015. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay in this small boutique family run hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough, we wish we had stayed our entire... More

In summary: The location of Mama Nena is truly, truly great. The place itself is wonderful. Matina (owner) and Diana (housekeeper) are both great: They are hospitable and actually cater to you as individuals. Matina has loads of local knowledge/info which she proactively shares - if you want it :-) I cannot imagine anyone not being incredibly pleased that they... More

The only reason not to book a room here is if you can't negotiate a lot of stairs, impossible parking or a long walk with luggage from wherever you get dropped off. The old town has no access by car. Otherwise , be prepared for lovely accommodations in a beautifully updated 17th century house right on the harbor and near... More

Our fourth time at Mama Nena. Having stayed there once, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Chania. It has the best location on the harbour with stunning views. The rooms are beautiful, stylish and well equipped. A lot of love and effort have gone into this place. There are quite a few very nice boutique hotels in Chania, but... More
