We stayed at the Minoos house for 10 days and I can easily say that it was one of the best holiday decisions we ever made. The house is located very close to the old town, it is actually in the old town just not in the center of it, which is better since your are away from the crowds.... More

We were there some time ago (2010 or 2011), so things may have changed, but we had a wonderful vacation (one week) here. Placed perfectly very near to both harbour and central city. We had a very charming room, but we saw another room, which we wouldn't have stayed in. As I understood, that room was only used to backpackers... More

This was a horrible experience. Lena (the owner) must have bought a house belonging to an elderly person and turned it into a pension, without clearing anything, cleaning anything or moving any of the last homeowners knickknacks. We are seasoned travelers and can put up with a lot. However, the carpets were very dirty, the beds sagged terribly, and the... More

We arrived in Old Chania with three days accomodation booked (but needed a further 2 nights to find somewhere else). After the third night we wheeled our cases around looking for somewhere new and stumbled across a cleaner outside one of Lena's properties (Lena has a few in the Old Town it turns out). The cleaner rang Lena, who took... More

I spent 2 months(June-July 2013) in one of Lena's studios and could not have found better accommodations for the price. The room was nicely appointed in a European style, and had everything an American could want or need: WIFI, a big comfy bed with lots of pillows, coffee maker, iron, A/C, a little kitchenette, pots, pans, use of a washer,etc.,... I feel bad to use such a harsh word in the title but it really captures our experience and the room we got. Not sure what happened as the room we had was definitely not one of the nice images I saw in the pictures here. I believe the owner bought an additional building on the street to expand her... More

Good location but the rooms and bathrooms were really small. For 18€/pers, you could find other places which are better! The cleanning was not done. Positive point: you could have access to a shared terrace and you could use the washing machine for free

I am a little late to giving this review, as our trip was in mid-late-December 2011. We stayed for a week in Chania after a few days in Athens. We had our son (toddler) with us, staying on the top floor of Lena's. The room was not the biggest for three of us, but it was not a problem. The... More

We stayed at Pension Lena on two nights at either end of our one week trip in Crete. Whilst always being passing ships in the night, as we were coming in late / leaving early in the morning, Lena was flexible and accommodating. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished with everything you need and the location is great, right in... More

We walked from the bus station and Pension Lena is easy to find despite being in the beautiful old part of the city. It's a charming old, (very vertical) house with well designed updates. The room was large with a in-suite bathroom, (albeit without a shower curtain and though it pains me to say it, there was no hot water... More
