Gorgeous dinner last night - fresh fish (we picked the one we wanted). Beautifully cooked with good bbqd veggies. Eggplant starter was great too. Worth a visit, however a little pricey (our most expensive in Crete).

This is the second time to stay in the hotel, I was happy in the first place, very happy in the second

Beds poor, pillows awful, TV doesn't work, internet lousy lousy, no soap in bathroom, no shampoo given or anything else. Just a lousy place to stay in. People were nice but then most Greeks are nice. Strolling in the area is nice. That's all.

The location of this hotel right on the lake and along two pedestrian streets is unrivaled in Aghios Nikolaos. stayed here for a long weekend room was kept spotless very quiet not many there had a stunning view looking out onto the lake if you wanted meals you went to bar next door i didnt go in so cant comment on that but i would go back

We stayed there for one nigth, but if we had the chance, we could have stayed longer. The view from the balkony was PERFECT. We could stay there for hours. Hotel du Lac is in a charming town of Agios Nikolaos. We stayed in a room overlooking the lake - lovely view. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed while exploring the Eastern side of Crete. The hotel was a very comfortable base and I recommend it to travellers on a budget.

The previous review is spot on - this is such a good choice if you're in pretty Agios Nikolaos and looking for a budget place to spend the night.
