Great hotel apartment close to a sandy beach. It is basic but very clean and has everything that you require which is all we wanted. We were a family of 4 staying for 14 nights and was very comfortable. It had a nice terrace overlooking the town and sea (room 403), air conditioning, very quiet even though main street is... More

Our stay in Agios Nicolaos would not have been so great and nice had not it been for the wonderful and hospitable family` Costas, Maria, Leontini.Thank you, dears !!! As for the hotel, the location is great, central but quiet, close to the blue flag municipal sand beach, harbor and within the walking distance to the lake, shops and cafes.... More

We had just arrived in Crete and our hired car was misfiring so we were advised to call in Agios Nikolaos to change it. We had no clue where we were going and attempted a steep hill opposite Manraki apartments. The car kept slipping back and the owner (Costas) came out to see what was happening. To cut a long... More

We stayed for 2 nights, it was nice place to stay. Some renovation could help, but for just sleep and short stay it was fine. Parking facilities and located in a quiet location. We also had a nice sea view.

We prefer to stay in old towns in the Greek Islands, as one feels part of something, rather than the, admittedly often superb, beach hotels out of town. Mantraki is a great base; close to the harbour, an excellent blue flag town beach and also the many shops and restaurants to wander around. For us, after several weeks hopping around... More

We booked the Mantraki hotel because of all the positive comments on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are very typical Greek so don't expect the Ritz but that is part of the charm. The sea view was amazing and we never tidied of looking at it. The beds are comfy and the location is ideal. Agios Nikolaos... More

The Mantraki Hotel met all our expectations, having read all the positive reviews by past guests. But most notable of all was the hospitality by the two owners and their daughter for whom nothing was too difficult to do to please their guests. The apartment we had was fairly large by the standards of Greek island hotels and had a... More

We found the hotel by luck and this was the best hotel in the whole Crete. We felt like being at home. Incredible hospitality that we hadn't met anywhere before. They guided as from where to park the car to where to eat, what to visit and where is the best beaches of the region - and everything were as... More

True Greek hospitality, warm, welcoming and helpful. The music evening was special and we were made to feel very much a part of it. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, well situated and good value. We would readily stay there again

The two of us stayed in Mantraki Apartments for 5 days in early May. The room (with a sea view) was spacious, clean, with lots of light, comfortable beds and fixtures, and, of course, a lovely view of the sea and marina. The apartment is excellently situated, better than many comparable (and more expensive) options in the area; just a... More
