Just back from a trip to crete and the minos beach hotel, and i have to say that this hotel is certainly not 5 star!! The place itself is set in a stunning location which is kept clean and tidy, but beware of the very expensive drinks price tag!!!,i know the euro is high against the GB pound at the moment, but the... more

Having spent the last thirty minutes reading past reviews, I am astonished by the lack of love for this hotel! I have visited the hotel on four separate occasions and find it a wonderful, calming experience. Now, I understand that some people expected something different. Admittedly, the room and dining experiences are a little confusing at first but most travel... more

We had a fantastic holiday at the Minos Beach Art after being quite worried reading some negative reviews on here. The food was the best I have ever had in a hotel in Greece. The staff were all lovely and polite and the service was second to none. All in all it was a lovely holiday in a super location... more

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Minos Beach and i am struggling to find something bad to say about it. Maybe those dissatisfied customers had a less pleasant experience in high summer-top tip, why go to the southern med in July or August? It is too hot and too busy-October is cooler but still way warmer... more

I had read some negative reviews about Minos Beach and was a bit apprehensive due to the money we had paid. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and because we had missed dinner, we were handed a bag with a sandwich box inside. When we got to our room, we discovered we only had one salad... more

I really can't see what all the complaints are about! OK yes there are different types of rooms-they start with a standard hotel room in the main building, you then have bungalow/apartments which range from garden-sea-waterfront then you have VIP sea and VIP waterfront-also one's with private pools. I stayed in a VIP waterfront which was wonderful, the bungalow was... more

We reserved a "Seafront Bungalow" through an Agency Website, we went onto Minos Beach Hotel website to see what the rooms were like. On the M.B. Website they show only "Superior Seafront Bungalows", so this is what we were expecting. On arrival we were shown to a small, dark "Standard Seafront Bungalow". Apparently the "Standard" Bungalows are not displayed on... more

This hotel is definitely not a 5* and is overpriced. There are a number of areas that require improvement for it to even be considered as a small luxury hotel of the world. The rooms are very small and extremely basic, with old televisions and a fridge that got extremely warm., there is also very limited hanging / drawer space.... more

June, 23 Just returned from 5 nights stay at the Minos Beach. The hotel is okay, but definitely not 5 star. The decor of the room (garden bungalow) was depressingly dark, the tiny fridge-mini bar was giving so much heat around I thought it was dangerous, the air condition got broken on our last night, tiny old TV set gave... more

Just returned from two weeks honeymoon at the Minos Beach hotel. Overall our stay was very pleasant but a few things we were disappointed with. Firstly the expense of the drinks in the hotel were ridiculous, we only drank water with our meals nothing alcoholic. 29 euros for a bottle of wine which was only 3.50 in the supermarket, no... more
