We spent four weeks traveling around in Eastern Crete this summer. And the best hotel was indeed Palazzo. Not the fanciest, coolest or trendiest. But it is a honest hotel were you get your moneys worth and more. Right on the beach, goog sized rooms, extremely friendly staff, clean and almost in the middel of the lovely city of Ag.... More

This family-owned hotel offers a home away from home, in apartment-like suites that show a dedication to design and detail. We didn't actually spend much time in Agios Nikilaos itself, but this was a welcome place to return to after a day of exploration. All the little touches are just right. And Popi couldn't have been more helpufl.

We were welcomed by Popi, the friendly and helpful proprietor who saw to all our needs during our three night stay and offered suggestions about what to do. Our room facing the sea was very clean, comfortable, and spacious, offering a nice balcony. Excellent soundproofing too so we could get a good night's sleep. Great location, where we could just... It was a last minute decision that brought us to this charming place. The apartment wasn't sea side but was very clean and cozy. It had character and was very upscale and spacious. The location was very centrally located for dining and shopping and the beach was right across the street. Poppy even went out of her way to book... More

Fabulous small hotel, great service, lovely rooms/suites and a breakfast to die for. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. The only problem is that this review has to be 200 characters long and I have said all I need to say!

This hotel is adorable. The proprietor, Poppy, could not have done more to make our stay pleasant. The room was immaculate, comfortable, had a kitchenette and side view to the sea. The location is across the street from a public beach, chaise rentals with umbrellas available. Several good restaurants on the block. Breakfast is not included in base price, but... More

Very pleasant, small, clean and spacious hotel with nicely, personally decorated rooms (bathroom with unbelievable strong jet water. Adorable ). We had a balcony with port seaview. The double bed, for tall people was excellent and comfortable. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. A strip of restaurants and cafes is a side of the port. A minute walk... More

We stayed here October 2012 for my brothers wedding. Our group varied in age from 7 to 70 and all had an amazing time! The owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Very family friendly. Fantastic location and the actual hotel was beautiful, traditional, had everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend... More

We love Palazzo. The very well furnished and decorated rooms, the view, the ambiance, the friendly staff. You feel like at home. You stay just next to the city center and nevertheless just in front of the beach with some gorgeous morning lights when the sun goes up!!!! Just next door you find some very nice restaurants with good food.... More

My sister and her family stayed here for a few days last June. Its a wonderful hotel, loved and taken care of by the owners who are very friendly. Perfect for a family, close to the beach and center of town - no need to hire a car really unless you plan to go sightseeing....
