Delphi is not an accommodating town. There is a palpable disdain for tourists. Come here in the morning and see the ruins (note that the actual oracle is closed due to landslides) see the museum, and then take off. If you must stay over, go to charming Galaxadi or Arachova. This hotel was okay in most regards but it lacked... more

I have traveled to Greece annually for 20 years and I return to the Acropole yearly. The rooms on the non-street side of the hotel have stunningly beautiful views. It definitely has the best location in Delphi. The owners and staff are kind and gracious; I consider many of them friends. The breakfast is wonderful by Greek standards, including Greek... more

The views are spectacular, and the receiption area/breakfast room is very nice. Good location - walking distance to ancient site (10-15 mins). Quiet location off the main street. Very small rooms with ageing decor. Shower was awful - tiny (no room to turn around), with a shower screen of the type that blows in and sticks to you. more

We had a corner room overlooking the distant bay and the town of Galaxadia. Spectacular, but also really hot outside so it was enjoyable to be on the balconey only for about an hour in the evening and morning. The room was the drabbest we had in Greece, and the noisiest. Not street noise, or even hall noise, but from... more

I just stayed in Delphi at this hotel for a week, working on a classical studies course I teach as well as taking a holiday. The Acropole was absolutely delightful and exactly what I was looking for. The views from the rooms on the off-street side--down across the Pleistos valley, to the Corinthian gulf--are stunning: I spent many an hour... more

We had a great experience at Hotel Acropole. Very clean and well decorated. Our room was excellent, with a breathtaking view of the nearby mountains (though not all rooms have such panoramic views. Small bar on 1st floor was convenient. Breakfast was excellent as well. Well located in Delphi just off the main street. Quiet and pleasant - an overall... more

We spent 2 nights there and the only positive thing was the view. The price was too high for the simple room we had but the reason we chose the specific hotel (we could find many other hotels with a lower price) was because they assured us on the phone that the hotel owned a private parking!!!! A big lie... more

We were pleased with our stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Though not large, it was adequate as we were out most of the time anyway. The location was perfect -- close to the bus station, one street below the main street so noise was not an issue. And the rooms away from the street have... more

The hotel's selling points are the balconies. Fantastic views of the mountains and olive groves and, if you look round the corner, the water. The room looked like it was from the 1970s. The breakfast was DISGUSTING. The hardboiled eggs were rotten, the milk was powdered and the orange "juice" reminiscent of Tang. more

I stayed at the Acropole for one night in fall 2007, and found it charming. I was very happy with my stay here despite the few negatives listed below. Positives: – The location is excellent, right in the center of town and within walking distance to the ancient site. There are many restaurants, shops, Internet cafes, etc., within easy walking... more
