We stayed only one night as part of a classical tour of Greece. Our room was of decent size with a full width balcony facing the sea (20 miles away). The bed mattress was firm. New LCD TV set, fridge, safe, hair dryer were provided. Only draw back: no WI-Fi available, only house internet @ 0.15 Euro per minute! The... more

The Amalia was part of a 3-day tour, and was the top-rated hotel. We were certainly very comfortable, had a spacious room with a view over the mountains and the sea, with balcony and outside seating. Hotel seems to cater to large tour groups and does so efficiently. Meals were served buffet style, with a good variety of local food,... more

We stayed for one night while on a bus trip with GO tours of Athens. The hotel had stone floors throughout the entryways and hallways which gives it a bit of a cold feel. As we approached our room all I could think of was a prison. The doors were all dull gray and they merged with the walls, it... more

Stayed here on a tour of Classical Greece. My first impressions were that it was a comfortable, well run hotel. On closer examination it was a bit drab. The meal we had was wholesome but not exactly exciting. The room we occupied promised a great view but failed to deliver because the view was blocked by trees! Speaking to other... more

The rooms (at least the one we had) have excellent views-that was the highlight of this hotel experience. It is a definite improvement over Amalia at Olympia. Better food, better decor and a much better location. The rooms were spacious but could use a renovation. I would recommend this hotel if only for the amazing views. more

I stayed at this hotel during a Italy and Greece trip. The previous night our group stayed at the Amalia Hotel Olympia, which was all but a 2 1/2 to 3 star experience. This location was but an improvement. Instead of the rooms looking like they were from the 60's, the rooms looked like rooms from the 70's. In all... more

Its one redeeming feature is the view – nothing else! Oh, and it does have a pool. Our room was a shocker. The surround (door jamb) at the entry to our room had been virtually pulled away. Left no security in the room – anyone could have entered. Forget a safe – Amalia hotels don’t seem to have them. As... more

We are a couple who generally dislikes bus tours , but for seeing highlights of ancient Greece on a limited time schedule, we booked with Chat tours. Chat as well as several other tour companies use the Amalia chain. Other than for the crowds of bus tourists without which this hotel chain would not exist, it was a fine hotel.... more

We stayed one night as part of our CHAT tour of Delphi and it was much nicer than the accommodations we were expecting. (Side note, the tour itself wasn't as informative as we would have liked and didn't allow enough time to explore Delphi.) I loved the modern design of the hotel, and the pool and view of Corinthian bay... more
