This hotel is indeed the closest to the archaeological site, but as has been pointed out by others, Delphi is a small town anyway. I was sleeping when I felt a bug trying to go inside my mouth, I woke up very scared, it was a roach. I left immediately. Absolutely disgusting hotel. Three stars for Greeks perhaps some Europeans, 0 for Americans, Asians, and Latins. This hotel must be closed. more

When I opened the door there were cockroaches in the room, at least three. There was food left under one of the beds. Very unprofessional personnel. It is closed to the ruins but the other hotels in Delphi are also closed (walking distance) and for a few more Euros (5 to 10 more) you may get a much better hotel... more

We stayed here for because it had the only available room in town (lots of tour buses converged on Delphi on the same day, though it was off-season). We expected the worst, but it was generally a pleasant 2-night stay. The rooms with balconies and the dining room have the most spectacular views in town, and worth any minor discomforts.... more

I did not find the problems others encountered. I did not see dirt, open wires or unfriendly staff. I found the room decoration, nothing as described in other reviews. maybe it was redecorated.
