I visited Aloi in 2005 with my parents and it is, to this day, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was basic, but clean. I thought it was great fun that the bed frames were made of concrete and part of the room. The services and offerings are basic. This is not a luxury hotel. The staff,... More

Having booked this hotel last mintues, expectations were not high however you would expect at least a clean environment Do not pick this hotel, here is a list of why: - Breakfast poor, no varity -... The Aloi hotel is a charming traditional Greek hotel which offers basic acommodation. There is air conditioning availabe but we didn't use it.(5€ a day, fridge 3€). No tea/coffee making facillities in the room but we didn't really miss this. Our shower was interesting - the head needed replacing but wth some tweaking we managed to avoid the cascade and... More

Have just returned from my 10th visit to Hotel Aloi in Anissaras crete - and once again not disapointed. The hotel is quiet and relaxing - no fighting for a sun bed by the pool The rooms are clean and bright. All have a balcony or terrance and either a view of the pool or gardens - both of which... My boyfriend and I recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Aloi Hotel in Hersonissos and we were not completely satisfied at all! I wanted to write this review to make sure that no one else has the experiences we had at this hotel. From the facilities to the staff, there were a number of problems during our... More

Lovely calm hotel! Super friendly staff, Nice pool and great lunches & dinners. The food is super fresh and good price. We've really enjoyed our stay. Would nog recommend for children, because of the lack of Children facilities.

We booked this hotel for early May. When we arrived, we found it closed and nowhere near ready for business. There was no notification anywhere that the hotel was shut (we could haer a radio blaring loudly inside) and no amount of knocking caused anyone to come out. We went to the local police station to try and contact the... More

I was so appaled at this hotel I had to write this in the hope that it will stop anyone having the awful start to the holiday we... More

The place is run by Gabby and her husband who are a really nice couple and make you feel very welcome. Think they are German or Dutch, couldn't quite place the accent. The bar and pool area is great and the highlight of the hotel - almost hippy style to the outdoor bar and the food was awesome (though didn't... More
