Clean, basic, breakfast included all for 43 Euros.... whats to complain...travelled on business so spent one night in January, out of tourist season, so I have no idea what the cost would be in summer. As mentioned by some others, I would ask someone in the hotel to park your car, unless you are feeling extremely proficient an parking in... More

Samaras Hotel big plus is its location. It is situated at the center of Lamia and if you are lucky to be placed at the second floor and above you can also see the see. Variety of cafes and restaurants are next to you. The room was always clean even though they could do some refurbishment. One thing that disturbed... More

100% spotlessly clean nice business class hotel on central square in Lamia. Lots of busy coffee places around. We got two rooms adjoining out of season for 80 euros. Perfect for the family although definately a business class hotel.

Our family stayed here for two nights in July 2008, not because there was anything in Lamia itself that we wanted to see, but because it looked like the best place to spend the night before wandering around Thermopylae the next day (a must for classical history buffs, even though the terrain has changed and there's not much to see... despite a good review from lonely planet this hotel was overpriced and drabby. the room was poorly decorated and the walls had peeling paint. On the positive side, the room was clean and the hotel was in a good location. I would recommend checking out the hotel america nearby, similar rooms, less than half the price

This was our first day driving on our own in Greece, so found the spider web of one way streets very difficult. We had not booked but had no trouble getting in (this is not a tourist town but pleasant) The rooms were small but comfortable and we enjoyed the view of the children playing football in the Plateia. Breakfast... More

We had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Samaras in May of 2005 after a quick trip up to see Meteora. Lamia is probably the most reasonably sized town in close proximity to Meteora assuming you do not want to actually stay at Meteora. With that being said, we were pleased with our experience there. We arrived in Lamia... More
