We stayed three nights at the Ionion Hotel, two nights at the start and one at the end of our Island trip to Santorini in June 2015. The hotel is small and basic, but clean and safe, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It can be a little bit noisy when travellers arrive late at night or leave early... More

It's near the port, only 2min. But thats all! Night staff is not so friendly and the room standard is poor. The man in the café was nice and fixed coffe and sandwich for the morning. If you only stay for a few hours it's okey! It's alsow near the X96 and the metro.

For only 50 euro, can't beat it. The location was perfect. Got this place since we were taking an early ferry from the port which happened to board across the street from the hotel. Upon check in, the receptionist didn't have our info. We used booking.com, but info didn't transfer. He got on phone with wonder and we got our... More

The location of Ionion Hotel is very convenient if you need easy access to the harbor – actually, this was the reason for what I choose it. You can reach E7 Piraeus harbor gate in 10 min, walking, even with your luggage. It’s a family hotel, not very fancy and obviously just for transit - we were there only for... More

My family of five (3 older teens) stayed at the Ionion twice in July 2014. We stayed the night before an early ferry, and upon arriving back at midnight after our trip to the islands. Pros - The owner was an absolute sweetie. Pointed us in the direction of a local souvlaki pita takeout place around the corner. Lots of... More

A great location just next to the ferry terminal in Piraeus. The host was extraordinary when it comes to hospitality. The beds were good, but the room and bathroom in a below average condition. Price very reasonable so overall an good experience. NB: if you are picky with room quality I suggest you look somewhere else.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by an angry receptionist. When we booked the room we had requested early check in and this was approved and confirmed with an email. The person at the desk (Manolis) was very upset that we wanted to check in early. He started to swear and curse. Unbeknown to him I understood every... More

Stayed here twice on one night stays. Basic rooms, but okay for a night. Can get a bit noisy due to activities in the streets outside. The owner is a very nice man who tries to help anyway he can. Very close to the port and the main road. Speak directly to him if there are any issues

We stayed one night in a family room, it was clean and quiet, room enough for five, the receptionist was helpful including ensuring we had our ferry tickets the night before travelling, would definitely recommend for an overnight stay before taking the ferry to the islands, it's so close. It's also only 10 mins walk to the smarter area of... More

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night before we had an early ferry the next morning. The hotel was in a perfect location, directly across from the port, about 100m walk. It is also a 2 minute walk to the train station where it is an easy ride to Athens centre and the acropolis. There are plenty of... More
