I stayed @ Ariston for 3 nights and had a good experience. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel had a bar in the entrance and it was really nice and quite to drink a beer or greek spirit during the evenings. The rooms were clean. One problem to note with the rooms was the smoke smell. Apparently people... More

We went to stay with some friends in Agios Andreas about 40 kilometres south of Kalamata but as I had never visited Athens we ended our trip with five days there and stayed at the Ariston. My wife was anxious for me to visit Meteora and by using tripadvisor we found we could do it in a day so we... More

Stayed in a single room for 5 nights. It's a very good budget hotel. The room is small and basic but very clean. The view from the balcony was really nice...enjoyed sitting in it after a long day before going to sleep :) The hotel is in a nice residential area, not in the very center of the city near... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here while in Athens. Cons: The lighting in the room did not function properly. The main light in the room would partially light each time...and would only remain on for a short duration. So we were forced to use the small oddly colored bed lamps. The door for the balcony was almost a cruel trick.... More

Probably one of the worst hotels I've been to in a while. It is comparable to a poorly kept Motel 8 back in the U.S. Would prefer not to stay here again. Cons: The towels are so old they have holes in them and are frayed at the ends. They charge you 0.50 Euros for printing your boarding passes for... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Ariston. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good location only one block from the metro and train station. Our room had 3 balconies being on the corner. Hardwood floors were nice and a small tv and small fridge. The bath was very small. They also had a bar area (same as the breakfast... More

This is a value hotel so don't expect more than that. Don't get me wrong this isn't a complaint just something to be aware of. The hotel suited our needs for the 3 nights we were there. The bed's aren't particularly comfortable, the air conditioning was useless and keeping the balcony door open at night wasn't an option due to... More

Very affordable, rooms are nice, easy access to city centre and to most tourist locations via the train a few minutes away. Matina who was one of the regular staff members was fantastic - she even gave us a super late check out time so we didn't have to loiter at the airport too long to catch our flight. She... More

In general I suppose that this is not the responsibility of the hotel but rather of Thomas Cook and in particular their City Breaks brochure/website. The hotel is listed as being in Omonia Square which is right next to the main Metro and City Bus links. However, in reality it is 30 minutes walk from the square and right next... More

The rooms are nice and the breakfast is good with a nice seating area. The location is very close to the train station which was helpful for us since we went to meteora from here. The front desk people were incredibly friendly and helpful in helping us navigate around. The only problem is it is not in a particularly nice... More
