The hotel is located at a very central point. In the heart of Plaka. It has all the basic features and clean. Breakfast is better than I expected ( I was expecting a simple croissant and coffee). The rooms are clean and very simple. The only minus point about this hotel was the hollow gap under the closets which caused... More

İt was my first time in Athens, so considered to find cheap, centered, quiet, clean hotel. And here we go! All you can ask. Lovely clean rooms, nice breakfast, business owners seems hardworker and disipline. Really liked it.

Perfect location in Athens at a great price considering the area. The rooms are dated, but clean. Continental breakfast until 10 every morning. When you are out sight-seeing all day, you don't need all the extra frills, just a good location, comfortable bed, clean room and wash room. 24/7 staff, family run.

Conveniently placed , it is right near the beach and short walk to a few shops in town. It also has a bus stop for the airport only a 5 minute walk away so very handy . The only bad thing I could say about this hotel is that the shower needed a curtain or a larger screen as the... More

When i stay at a hotel i look at quailty, cleanliness, friendliness, functionality, and style. Style - The Hotel Nefeli has a very mid-century look on the outside however in the rooms it doesnt feel like they have bought new furniture since then. The rooms are very spartan, which would be fine for the money but the room had no... More

This was my fifth visit to Hotel Nefeli and I still quite like it. The rooms are very basic and could do with a really good makeover - or at least a lick of paint - as they are a bit shabby, but it's perfectly fine for a stopover. The best things about the hotel are the staff, the location... More

good hotel, nice and clean rooms.nice crew. Very good breakfast. It is very closedvtonthevcity center, and Chania old port. But if you have car is very difficult to find parking. My opinion is if you go around there don't move you car if you have parking.

A very basic hotel but provides you with what you need. Room size is reasonable for what you pay. The noise from the street can be disturbing. A big plus is the location in the middle of plaka and nearby to all the ancient sites. Breakfast is a simple selection of breads, some yoghurt, egg, fruit, and juice.

Relatively inexpensive in the Plaka area. Very nice location. We didnt need to take bus or metro to go to the usual spots (Acropolis,Syntagma, Monastiraki, Ermou, other ruins). The hotel itself is a bit dated and the breakfast was just enough to get something in your tummy (honey and yogurt --yumm!-- bread, a boiled egg, coffee and juice, fruit). The... More

We've been staying at the Hotel Nefeli since 1991 and have never had a bad stay. It is right in the Plaka and within walking distance to the Acropolis and central Athens. The hotel is basic with private bathrooms and televisions. The staff is wonderful and treats everyone with dignity and it is easy to feel like family.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
