This is quite a basic hotel but for the price you get a quite comfortable bed, a wardrobe and a little bathroom. It was not an amazing place but the location was the key only 5-10 minutes from Monastiraki station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all we would definitely come back to this hotel.

We just stayed there for a night. Very average hotel, but we hated the fact that we had to climb two stairs with our luggage to our room (no elevator!) But the location was the best, about 5 minutes walk to Monastiraki train station. There is also a very big bazaar next to the hotel and lot of eating options... More

I am reviewing this hotel relative to value hotels not resort hotels.  The hotel was very clean, safe and the front desk was friendly.  The location is good.  The shower was very small but you could get the job done.  In my first room the internet was sporadic but adequate to do email.   I noticed that other areas had a... Great, fairly simple hotel, in an ideal central location. Staff very helpful and friendly. They even let us check in very early as we had been on the ferry overnight. Hotel spotlessly clean. All for hostel type prices. What's not to like??!!

Stayed for 1 night at this property in Athens on a recent trip. Room was comfortable and perfect for a budget traveller. Lady at front-desk was friendly and helpful. Location was good: near the underground and only a 10-minute walk to Ancient Agora area.

Had a bit of trouble locating the hotel from Monastiraki station. Nice location and friendly staff. The rooms are small but quiet. Our room was a the back side but it might be noisy if you get a room on the front side. The lady at the reception was very nice and helped us a lot. Every attraction is at... More

The staff was very friendly and spoke English. Excellent location within walking distance to everything. The rooms are basic but that's all we really needed and we loved our stay. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

It is really a great choice for tourist in Atene. Very clean, good location, convenient to go everywhere. 15minutes walk to the most famous temple. The owner is very kind and willing to offer any help. We definitely would come back if go to Atene again in future.

We just spent three nights at this hotel over the month of February. It's in a perfect location, you are close to all the main attractions, local food and touristy restaurants, shopping and busses. We walked the whole time but if you needed a taxi there is always one out front. The couple that work the front desk are very... More

The location of this place was great! You could literally walk to almost every attraction from here. After a 10 minute walk you could be at the main metro station that could take you to the airport or to the port! We loved this! The food in the area was good and local. The shower wasn't great-- I did not... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
