Rooms are clean and basic and quite small but it was a perfect place for 1 night. The location is excellent! Really central and close to transport links, (the line straight to/from the airport) although you can walk to the acropolis in about 20-25 minutes and the city centre in about 10. Staff were friendly and they let us leave... More

The location is perfect with walking distance to pretty much every main area, inc. Akropolis. Nice gyros restaurants around too. Vikki and Niko were very very nice that I indeed miss them. There's room service everyday means, the room is always clean. We stayed in a double bed ensuite, it was simple and cosy enough! For those who complain, think... More

I had a 13 hour layover in Athens on my way from Crete to Dubai, ans decided to use the hotel as a base for the day. The lady was super helpful and allowed me to check in early (11am). The rooms are basic, and would not use them for anything more than base camp for a 1 night or... More

To get things started, let me explain who I am. I am a 21 year old solo female traveler. I have been to 14 countries and counting. I have stayed in friends homes, apartments, hotels (3 stars and up), hostels, and B&B's. I stayed in Athens for 7 days- which is honestly too much time to spend in Athens. I... More

Such a great place for us to stay in Athens! Located super close to the metro, and around some good restaurants. There is also a flea market by the metro worth checking out. Good value for your money here! Only saw stairs though- not sure if it's able to accommodate wheelchairs. Looks like a run down area but the security... More

Its a small family run 1 star hotel, clean and quiet near to Athens' main tourist attraction, Acropolis. The lady owner at the reception was nice but lacked "touristy information" that i would always like to get from hostel/hotel. I was given a room on 2nd floor but there was no lift in the building. The room was OK with... More

Convenient location, easy walk to most major sites in town. Good room for cheap price although isn't a hostel with that type of vibe and then also isn't a nice room with decent bathroom so really is just a suitable place to spend the night. Read a few reviews about being in a dodgy area and it does appear that... More

This being our first time to Athens we didn't know what to expect. We took bus 51 from the KTEL bus station to get to downtown Athens and then just walked to our hotel which was decently close. The hotel is about a 10 to 20 min walk away from all the major sites and a block away from a... More

Arriving: We grabbed a cab from the airport and headed to the hotel. Cab ride was great, brought us through the meat market which was interesting to see. Upon exiting the cab ride we are welcomed by the glass door entrance to Athinaikon. The entrance is accompanied with an overwhelming smell of moth balls, thankfully the hotel does not smell like...
