The room was quite spacious, beautifully decorated and had a very clean bathroom and balcony. Service was good and the front office was very courteous. For the price that we paid, this was a exceptional. The hotel and its service was very good. There was nothing that we can complain about. The Viktoria metro station is 5 mins walk from... More

We were told how to get there via metro and walking from the metro to the hotel my heart sank, the area looked rough and lots of groups of men hanging around the streets right by the hotel. Checked in for our 2 night stay and the room was spacious and bathroom was modern but the bed was very low... More

I chose this hotel due to the high rating on Booking.com of 9.1 and the low fares comparably to the room facilities. ALL of my Greek friends were suspicious about the area that had a bad reputation of being the center of the immigrants and EU asylum-seekers. THE TRUTH is that it used to be unsafe 1 year ago, before... More

Stayed there twice. Everything was great. Nice rooms and polite staff. Good location, close to the metro station. It is also very close to the main train station, like 10 minutes of walking. Recommended.

We just spent 5 nights in the Centrotel Hotel and were very pleased. Ignore the posts complaining about the street and neighborhood, it's a working class part of Athens and we found it fine. Also ignore the silly complaints about the mattresses etc. There was a refreshing lack of tourists in the area, unlike our previous hotel much closer to... More

..the area doesn't seem very safe. At night we avoided the sidewalks and walked in the middle of the street. A policeman told us,the area was not safe at all, a guide thought it was more the pickpockets that were the problem. Anyway, nothing happened. If you act like you should, it's no problem, I think. The hotel states they... More

Not far from the metro, about 15 minuts by taxi to Plaka or 2 metro stations (but taxis are cheap in Athens) The personal was either really nice (older one)) or just OK (younger man that seemed annoyed everytime i asked a question), average breakfast (coffee so so), clean and quiet room, good wifi, i did not expect a lot... Based on Tripadvisor views, I booked Centrotel Hotel as a starting point for my big OE upon arriving in Athens. I initially booked a double room for one night, however extended it to three nights as the place was so fabulous. Sure, it wasn't in a great area, but it was very close to Victoria Station and a few stops... More

Reasonably close to Victoria Square (cafes, restaurants, metro), friendly and helpful staff, supermarkets close by. Clean and comfortable room. Good location for exploring Athens. Only one minor complaint is that it would be great if power to the fridge could be kept on when you're not in the room.

Incredible value for money. The room was large, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. We arrived very early, but a room was found for us so we could checkin and freshen up which was most appreciated. I had read comments about the location not being good, but I didn't find this at all. The hotel was within 5 minutes... More
